About this property

Heaven on Lake Edward

If you're looking for a fun getaway with friends/family, Heaven On Lake Edward is the perfect place to be! The cabin sits behind the perfect amount of trees leaving you some privacy on a 1 acre lot on the west shore of the beautiful Lake Edward.
YOUR PRIVATE PONTOON — Sea-Doo Switch, available on-site for $350/day + fuel
Here's what sets Heaven on Lake Edward apart: a Sea-Doo Switch pontoon, docked right at your private dock and available to rent during your stay. No trailering, no boat launch, no hauling across town — step off the deck, onto the boat, and you're on the water. Cruise the shoreline, pull the kids on the tube (tube and rope included!), drop a line for northern and walleye, or anchor in a quiet bay and swim. One boat, every kind of lake day. Fuel up easily at Cozy Bay Resort right on the lake.
A few honest notes so you can plan: the pontoon is popular and is occasionally rented out separately, so reserve it when you book the cabin to lock in your dates — first come, first served. Boat reservations are non-refundable.
THE MAIN CABIN: As you walk in the front door, the cabin has a nice living room with an l-shape couch, recliner, footrest and a smart tv. As you continue to walk through the cabin, you will see the kitchen and dining room. The kitchen is stocked with all amenities for cooking and eating. It has an island with seating for four and the dining room has seating for an additional 4 guests. In the dining room, the cabinet is stocked full of fun card games and board games for you and your loved ones to enjoy. As you continue walking through, you will find the bathroom, master bedroom and lakeside bedroom. The master bedroom has a queen bed and also includes a washer and dry for any laundry needs you may have during your stay. As you walk into the lakeside bedroom, you will find 2 more queen beds and a closet. The home is also equipped with Wi-Fi for all of your internet needs.
THE BUNK HOUSE: Got some kiddos? The bunk house will be their dream come true! The bunk house has a twin bed along with another queen bed for additional sleeping. Coming Soon: We will be adding an outdoor shower option to the bunk house
THE BACK PATIO: If you're family enjoys grilling, you won't be disappointed. The back patio provides guests with the option to use a flat iron grill and a gas grill! You will also find a nice patio table with the option to sit outside and enjoy the views!
THE BACK YARD: Enjoy a nice campfire outside around our campfire pit! When you get to the cabin, you will find a fully stocked smore station in the kitchen to enjoy! You will also find some fun outdoor games including a horseshoe pit, cornhole toss and ring toss. And let's not forget…the beach! The beach is around 20 ft of level ground sand with chairs to soak in the sun.
LAKE EDWARD: Lake Edward is a 2,032 acre lake located one mile north of Merrifield in Crow Wing County. It reaches depths of 75', with 59% of the lake being 15' or less. It is a great lake for tubing (tube and rope provided for guests), skiing, wakeboarding, knee boarding and all other water sports. If you're into fishing, Lake Edward is a great option. Walleye are stocked annually into Lake Edward. This lake is also great for Northern, Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass and Bluegills (Sunfish). We're a family from Rochester, Minnesota, and Lake Edward is our happy place. Like a lot of Minnesotans, we grew up loving lake life — the early-morning calm on the water, bonfires after sunset, and that feeling of everything slowing down the second you arrive. Now, with a little one of our own, sharing those simple up-north moments means even more to us. We poured a lot of care into making this cabin a place where families, friends, and couples can make the same kind of memories we treasure. When you stay here, you're getting a spot we genuinely love — and we hope it becomes one of your favorites too.

Why they chose this property

This stretch of Lake Edward's west shore is the best of both worlds: peaceful and private, but just minutes from everything Nisswa offers. The lot has no neighbors on one side and only occasional visitors on the other, so you get a real sense of seclusion and quiet — rare to find this close to town. You can spend a lazy day on your own slice of shoreline without anyone crowding you, then drive a few minutes into Nisswa for shopping, dining, breweries, and family attractions. It's a calm, unhurried setting that still keeps you close to the action whenever you want it. For us, that balance is exactly what an up-north getaway should feel like.

What makes this property unique

A few things set Heaven on Lake Edward apart. First, the privacy — no neighbors on one side and a quiet, open feel that lets you truly unplug on a beautiful 1-acre lot right on the lake. Second, the water: the lake stays shallow well out from the dock — about waist-deep at the end of it in a normal year — with a phenomenal sandy bottom that makes it perfect for kids, swimming, and just hanging out in the water all afternoon. It's the kind of safe, easy shoreline families dream about. And third, rare for a rental: your own Sea-Doo Switch pontoon, docked right at your private dock and available during your stay. No trailering, no boat launch, no hauling across town — just step off the deck and onto the water. Add in the sandy beach, campfire pit, lawn games, bunk house for the kids, and a fully stocked cabin, and you've got a true turn-key lake getaway where the only thing you have to plan is how to spend the day.

I framed the low water as a family-friendly feature (shallow + sandy = safe for kids) rather than just a fact, since that's the angle that sells — and phrased it "in a normal year" so it sets honest expectations without locking you to an exact depth you'd have to edit. The three differentiators now flow as privacy → the water/beach experience → the boat.
