About this property
Charming, Spacious Victorian In Downtown Bar Harbor
This charming and recently renovated turn of the century Victorian home has the perfect in-town setting in a neighborhood in the heart of the village of Bar Harbor on a quiet side street. New and comfy furnishings, refinished hardwood floors throughout, front covered porch, and a lovely, spacious yard make this an ideal home away from home.
You enter the house through a lovely entrance hall that leads to a nicely furnished living room with flat-screen TV. The living room opens to a charming dining room with an expandable table that can seat up to ten people. The spacious, newly renovated kitchen has a multipurpose island with gas oven & stove top on one side and kitchen stools on the other. The first floor has a half bath and is air conditioned with a heat pump.
The second floor has a master bedroom with a king bed, a bedroom with queen bed, a bedroom with a double bed, a bedroom with two twin beds, and a full bath. All second floor bedrooms have window air conditioners.
On the third floor is a second, spacious master bedroom with king bed, ceiling fan, a second heat pump that cools the entire floor, and a bath with shower. (Please note that the stairs to the third floor are steep and narrow and could be difficult for some).
Outside is covered front porch, and a large side yard with gas grill and outdoor table. Additionally there is parking for up to three cars!
You’ll be within a few blocks of spectacular views of Frenchman’s Bay and the mountains beyond, a short walk to the famous Shore Path, the free Island Explorer Shuttle hub at the Village Green, as well as easy access to shops, restaurants, village grocery store, movie theatres, bike and kayak rentals, and a range of excursions. At low tide, it is only a short walk to the unique experience of crossing a sand bar to Bar Island. When you're ready to venture beyond the village into the rich and diverse beauty of Acadia National Park, you'll find several park entrances within easy reach.

Why they chose this property
We had made countless visits to Bar Harbor & beautiful Acadia National Park before we finally found this house, which has become a true second home for us, our children and grandchildren. We love the openness and flow of the house, the in-town location, the Island, and the people. We hope you'll enjoy this wonderful house as much as we do.
