Smith Lake Brushy Creek Lake house

“Time Out Of Mind” is on Lewis Smith Lake nestled in Bankhead Forrest, located between Addison and Arley in Winston County, Alabama. 2 hours from Birmingham or 3 hours from Memphis or 4 hours from Atlanta.

The house has been rented for family reunions, romantic getaways, small group retreats, fishing tournaments, weddings, and much more! The house can accommodate large families or single renters.

Information about the home:
• Comfortably sleeps 13 – 15 in five Bedrooms:
o 2 x King
o 2 X Queen
o 1 Bedroom with 1 Full Bed and 3 Twin Bunk Beds
o There are also 2 fold-down futons that can sleep little people
o Plenty of room in bedrooms to set up portable cribs.
• 4 Bathrooms
• 2 Kitchens
• A wonderful screened in porch and decks on 3 floors overlooking beautiful Smith Lake
• Three large, open living spaces
• 3 Wall-mounted Flat screen TV’s with full surround sound
• Full size pool table
• Boat Dock with an extra slip for your water toy. Boat launch access in the neighborhood. A gravel ramp may require 4WD
• Since this is our “home away from home”, it is fully furnished and has all the amenities you could possibly need.

WIFI: The house does have high speed WIFI.

Note: Quite a bit of the decorating and landscape in the pictures has changed since these pictures were taken. We are currently refreshing the decor.

Going away gathering

There were a combined 4 families ( some related, some were dear friends) together for my daughter that will be going on a year long military deployment. Excellent property for a large group. The house has plenty of room for everyone to have their own space . The weather wasn’t the best, so we didn’t get to enjoy the fire pit and only grilled out once due to rain.

The house was exactly as described and it was perfect for 6 adults and 4 children. Everyone had plenty of space. The kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed the couple of trails by the house.

Perfect Lake Getaway

This is our third time staying at this Smith Lake house. It's a wonderful retreat with enough space for my extended family to gather. We love the peacefulness of the location, the screened porch, and the game room. This house has everything we need, and we look forward to going back next year.

Family Vacation

First family vacation we have planned. This property was great. It is not in the middle of the lake where all the boat traffic was, which was great for us. Not a far boat ride to the cliffs. We had an amazing trip. We will definitely be staying here again!

Great property and a nice weekend getaway with family. Quiet part of lake, enjoyed smores by the firepit and swimming off the dock. Plenty of room for everyone!

This house provides a wonderful place to vacation. We had a great time and highly recommend it!

The house has a great layout and excellent location. The house is very well furnished. The lake access is wonderful and that part of the lake provides a lot of privacy and gives a lot of area for playing in the lake off the dock. We enjoyed our time and look forward to coming back next year.

Loved our time on Smith Lake. Erik was very responsive to the couple minor issues we had and the property as a whole was exactly as advertised. We had plenty of room for our group of 15 and the location on the lake was quiet and secluded! Highly recommend.

Such a great place for family to gather and relax.

The house is well supplied with all linens and kitchen needs. Two kitchens is great for a large family! The lake is in a quieter area and the dock area is fun for the kids and adults. Great place to get away and relax! Owner is very helpful and responsive to any questions.

We enjoyed our long weekend at Brushy Creek. The house was beautiful. The owner was very attentive and easy to reach when we had a question.. The location is perfect and quiet. We will definitly be back!

Great vacation

The place is nice . It could definitely need a good cleaning . The price ia reasonable amd it has a pool table! The views are nice from balcony. The dock and water are nice. We had a great time and the owners were very easy with. We had no problems. We loved the pool table and the lake!

Christmas On The Lake

We had an amazing Christmas in this home. There was plenty of room with everything we needed. This was like our home away from home. The view of the lake was really nice on Christmas morning. I have to say that the owners were very helpful and nice. We would love to return to this exact lake home for another vacation.

Perfect Lake Retreat

Lovely property with awesome dock, great game room, beautiful landscaping, big deck and screened in porch. This house has everything you need. We roasted marshmallows at the fire pit, swam, boated, and played games. The owner is so accommodating and responsive. He helped us with all our requests. We’ll definitely rent this house again!

Awesome house, setup, town, and week!!!

First, the owner is very accommodating to every question and need. He brought an entire family from Mississippi and Louisiana and there were no complaints. The neighborhood was quiet, the lake was beautiful, water was perfect, and we also enjoyed a day of hiking. We cooked meals every night and played card games at the large table in the kitchen. Highly recommend this house!

As a young married couple, we started coming to Smith Lake in 2000 with good friends. We would spend weekends primitive camping, boating, playing in the water and basking in the sun. We quickly realized that lake weekends were the BEST! That inspired us to buy our lot in 2005 and build our home in 2008. We love the remote location surrounded by nature's peaceful beauty. April - October, we spend our time on the lake. The rest of the year, we enjoy hiking around nearby Bankhead National Forest and skipping rocks across the lake. This is our home away from home!
