Looking for a place to stay and play? This water-front, pet friendly property with a large fenced yard and private dock on deep water is perfect for families who want to have fun on the lake or recreational/professional anglers going after the big catch.

This cozy 1000 sq ft cottage has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Master bedroom has a queen size bed (lake view and access to large deck), second bedroom has a king bed. Each bedroom has a flat screen television with WiFi and Roku for you to sign into your favorite streaming services. Fully supplied kitchen with dining for 6. Living area is fully furnished with large flat screen TV (internet Roku). You can add 1 for sleeping on a fold out twin mattress or bring your own air mattresses. All linens & towels provided. TVs have Roku devices for you to access your personal subscriptions to streaming services. No cable tv or dish included.

Enjoy your mornings with coffee on the front deck looking down to the lake or evenings on the dock enjoying the relaxing sunsets and stargazing. Fire pit/outdoor fireplace available for smores and large outdoor grill/smoker for outdoor cooking. Yard is spacious enough to play volleyball, badminton or horseshoes, so bring your outdoor games!

This property has 100 feet of lake front for swimming right off the dock with a private dock. Boat lift is occupied but fiberglass mooring whips are available to secure your boat on the dock. It’s located on deep water overlooking the main part of Lake Athens with the best sunsets. Don’t settle for a shallow channel view of your neighbors across the cove!! We provide 4 basic kayaks, a variety of life jackets and swim ladders. Kayaks are kept on the dock and may require a quick wash off in the lake as spiders and gnats are impossible to keep off of them. Property is also fenced around the house for young children as well as your family pups. NOTE: Although we strive to eliminate them, there are sticker burrs and fire ants in the grass going down to the lake so please wear something on your feet to avoid them!!

Lake Athens has a nice Marina with a nice restaurant for lunch or dinner and bait shop that also sells breakfast and lunch. Don’t miss Tia Juanita‘s Fish Camp, which is a great new restaurant in town. Visit the nearby Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center, Zipline Adventures, or drive 10 minutes to Athens for shopping, groceries, restaurants and a movie theatre. Lake Athens is 30 miles from Tyler that provides many choices for shopping, eating, movies and such. Also 30 miles from Canton, home of the famous First Monday Trades Days!
