Blue Haven Lake Palestine Tx , Dock with Sundeck Sleeps 6

We have three other properties available for family gatherings. We can accommodate up to 30 people.

Welcome to the Lake House of Lake Palestine Texas. We allow small dogs under 25 lbs. Large Dock with a Boat House that fits a 26 foot Pontoon boat, 5 foot walk ways, fish cleaning station, a12x20 Sundeck and a covered area to enjoy the day.

The home is waterfront so bring the water toys to enjoy Lake Palestine. The home has a covered large deck with fans for the afternoons and evening gatherings. A morning sitting area to soak up the early sun and a firepit to enjoy the evening hours. A large living room, dining room, large and kitchen, three bedrooms,(all with queen beds). Internet and Satellite TV.
Heat and Central Air. Our kitchen is fully stocked for indoor cooking or we have a gas grill and a charcoal grill for your outdoor entertaining. Jet skiing, boating, and swimming couldn't be more perfect on the calm waters of Lake Palestine.

The lake offers over 25,000 Acres of Surface Water. Which was formed by the earth filled Blackburn Crossing Dam, Lake Palestine was impounded in 1962. The dam and lake underwent an enlargement project in 1969 that was completed in 1972, resulting in the clean and clear reservoir of today. With 135 miles of shoreline, for fun for all.

The Media Bass Individual Tournament is a local favorite and even sponsors a Little League class entry for young anglers. Jet skiing, boating, and swimming couldn't be more perfect on the calm waters of Lake Palestine.

For drier amenities, try a visit to the one of the three gorgeous local golf courses, or perhaps a quick trip to the Texas State Railroad Historical Park.

Great place!

Great place to have a mini vacation with the family. I’ve stayed in many rental properties and this has to be one of the best stocked houses I’ve been in. Including toys, coloring books and board games. Huge yard, beautiful setting, and the host was very pleasant.

Thank you for the review. The road in to our property does have a few abandoned homes and trailers. The area was set up 50 uears ago and was a very nice retireme commuity. As the retired people passed on the family did not want to use the property. In most cases the property was too far away from where the family lived. Thus, the property is sitting vacant. I can assure you we have lived here 5 months every year for 5 years and feel absolutely safe. The neighbors are wonderful caring people with a fantastic neighborhood watch program. To make people feel safe we have front and back cameras also. The crime rate is non existent. With this being said we hope you join us again.

My husband, daughter and I stayed for a week and didn't want to leave! Beautiful home, setting and view. Clean, warm and friendly, we had other family members out for a day of playing in the water & on the paddleboat. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back!

Blue Haven Lakehouse

We had a wonderful stay at this lakehouse. It was very spacious and beautifully decorated. I loved the bamboo mattresses. The patio, swim area, and dock was awesome. We will definitely return. And am referring family to stay there.

Relaxing by the lake

We stayed the weekend and enjoyed every minute of it! The home was clean and cozy. We fished off the dock and caught some fish. The house was really comfortable. We highly recommend! We will definitely stay again soon.

The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. We thought it was a good house for the price. We set up a miniature sewing retreat and had a good time. We were a Little sad that there are no public beaches on the lake.

Great lakehouse getaway

A cute lakehouse in a quiet neighborhood. Was well stocked and ready to go. The boat dock was very nice. The kids loved the Roku TV, toys and games. Like some of the other reviews mentioned the dock was a bit of a walk, but we brought a ride on toy for our boys (2 and 7) to drive out there and it was perfect. We also booked a trip on the Texas State Railroad while there.

Beautiful home

We absolutely loved this place, it was beautiful. The walk to the water was a little long but nothing we couldn't handle. I dont have any complaints, other than we wish we had known the boat lift wasn't working, a big storm rolled through and our boat took some damage. Other than that communication and everything was great!

I am so happy you enjoyed yourself. The boat lift is something that will not be available in the future. Last year we had a rent who did not know how to run it and burnt out the motor. To have it fixed was $900.00. However, if you do the 4 point tie down, your boat will stay safe. I am so sorry your boat took some damage. Please stay with us again, and we can discuss the lift one on one.

Few days of relaxing

We got bumped to different house due to this house was occupied by renters whom chose to stay longer. We were bit disappointed on the last minute change but we adapted and make the best of it. The other house we stayed in was pretty spacious for 4 adults. Back porch was huge and we spent majority of time there. Distance to lake was pretty long walk but lucky we’re in good shape (). The new dock was awesome. The door lock was bit challenging in times but the host was good thinking to have secondary for backup. This was on 4th of July weekend, fireworks was every direction and we got to enjoy the front row shows. Thank the host for accommodating us at different location house. Overall it was pretty relaxing and nice for us to catch up with friends.

Great place on the shores of lake palestine.

Enjoyed the house with lots of room. The water is too far from the house for someone up in years-above 65. The grass was not mowed which made it more difficult to get to the dock. The dock is extremely nice and well lit. They did mow the grass the morning we were leaving after a neighbor had called the owners about it. The neighbor was kind enough to mow me a strip to help me get to the dock/pier. The cost was too high for the neighborhood and the overall distance from the house to the water's edge.

Hind Sight 20/20

First, I’ll be clear that the property manager provided an acceptable alternative. The problem was that the booked property had a filthy kitchen. Stench due to garbage still in bin (not mere trash, garbage, bugs and all) and dishes containing spoiled food (and bugs) in the microwave. In addition, cracked stemware and soured smell in refrigerator. We took to cleaning, spraying for bugs (yes, insect spray under sink), and taking out trash and washing trash bin. Hind sight is that I should have called property manager for immediate solution that did not include our time and effort to clean. Disappointing, because the deck and view of the lake was very nice.

Owner very responsive and easy to work with. Great location on the water. Home was mostly clean, but when I had to get a couple of my daughters toys out from under the coffee table there was all sorts of dirt and trash under the table and chairs in the living room. Overall good experience.

My husband and our two children had a great time. The drive up to the house was sketchy, but once you get inside and see the backyard and boat dock you forget about the neighborhood. The patio furniture was not comfortable but overall it was a great experience.

Weekend at Lake Palestine

This was our first time to stay directly on Lake Palestine. This house is a cute home on a calm section of the lake. The water is a bit shallow by the dock, so this is a great home for people who have younger children who want to swim close to the dock and teenagers that can swim out a bit to deeper water. Of course for those adults that just want to float, it's a great option as well. The dock is really a nice size and would fit a large or small boat. It was nice to have electricity there too! The house has a nice porch, roku tv and ample space to eat. Kitchen supplies were basic but ample for us since we are simple people. The property owner was very kind and called us about the property since there was a bit of a mix up with her crew that takes care of the home. We appreciated that SO much that it made us have a better stay! I would highly recommending calling them if something isn't the way you expect when you arrive, as they really want your experience at their home to be positive. The best part was that the boats they had there were so fun, the water was the perfect temp, the fire pit was perfect, & we were able to have a nice relaxing weekend away from the hustle & bustle of city life! Blessings to the owner for sharing their property with others!

Great deck and dock.

Enjoyed the deck for dining , evening cocktails and conversation. The dock lights were awesome, along with the fish cleaning setup. Fishing was fun too. Caught a bunch of catfish and released them. We are already discussing a return visit.

This is our home in the winter months when Wisconsin gets too cold. We love it on the lake. With the sunrise in the am it is amazing to sit on the deck and watch the view.

Why they chose this property

The sunrises and views of the water are amazing to us. The people in the neighborhood are great and love to visit. Yes the property on the way in can use some updating but once we got here the peace and quiet is beyond wonderful.

Location to everything. Stores are close by, the boat ramp, restaurants and boat slip, store etc...
