House was very clean and in Great location with easy access to the beach, bay, restaurants, and shops. Pool was a highlight—half is covered with plenty of seating and bean bag chairs. Large master bedroom porch with a hanging daybed swing. Plenty of beach towels but bath towels were limited. We requested more and they were delivered. Boat dockage was available and the dock has freshwater but note there is no power at the dock. We booked this home because of the boat ramp, but our 24ft boat could not be launched due drop-off at the end making it dangerous. A resident also warned us about the ramp. The road leading to the ramp and the ramp itself are very narrow. We were only able to attempt backing down because there were vacant lots providing extra maneuvering room. Once those lots are developed, launching boats will likely be even more difficult. Check-in is strictly enforced. We arrived less than an hour before 4:00 p.m. and were not allowed to check in. The community didn't feel especially welcoming. Most residents didn't acknowledge us, and the welcome book and house signs felt more restrictive than inviting. Along the canal are signs regarding a lawsuit filed by developer against residents on other side of canal creating a bad impression. If bringing a boat, note that the trailer must be stored in the garage, leaving space for only one vehicle in the driveway. We parked our second vehicle at the community welcome center. Overall great home, but ramp and vibe lacking.
