The only recommendation I have to make the stay more convenient, think about stopping for groceries or other necessities prior to arrival. Shopping is very limited. Also, it didn’t appear to have any restaurants close by. It isn’t a deterrent to the place. I just wish we had known!
This is a lovely, rustic cabin in a beautiful country setting! My family and I enjoyed the peaceful surroundings while we visited several nearby places.
We really enjoyed the stay in this unique barn cabin with rustic decor. Clean and Cozy accommodations.Great place for family fun. AC worked great.Close to the Ark. I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a private place in the country to stay.
We enjoyed our stay. The host was friendly and responded quickly to communications. The location was convenient. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the country. It was convenient to have a full kitchen and a living room area to hang out. Loved the back porch also. The were only two downsides to the stay. Sliding barn doors are used for every room. Not all of them closed all the way and gave the privacy desired. The beds are firm. The upstairs bed has an innerspring mattress on a board. This caused some back issues. I realize everyone has their own preferences but since comfortable beds were mentioned in a few other reviews, I wanted to note this. It is the only reason I would not stay here again. It was a great place otherwise.
We had such a relaxing week! This place was so peaceful and quiet, and centrally located to all the attractions we wanted to visit. The beds were comfortable, the living area was spacious, and the kitchen was well equipped. The owner was very nice and quick to respond when we had questions. We have recommended this place to several people already and would love to go back some day.
We couldn't have been happier with this property!!! It is so unique and cozy inside and the quiet, peaceful, secluded property made it everything we were looking for. My boys had a campfire. The lighting and decor were so country/shabby chiq. The barrel sink... awesome! Thank you for sharing your amazing place with us
The house was very remote and located in a beautiful field. Sunsets and sunrises were very visible. Our family loved the horses and enjoyed seeing them daily. The house was well described and very unique. We enjoyed seeing all the neat features. Many games, puzzles, and reading materials were available for our use. We really enjoyed our time at the house.
Check in was 4 pm. But told her we wldnt arrive till 6. We got thr at 5:50 and we werent able to get in till 6:45 because cabin wasnt ready. This was after driving 8 and a half hours. The doors and locks were questionable. Didnt seem safe. We were never told about lawn people showing up and disrupted our stay a bit and day of check out the bug guy came to spray outside.
If you like staying in the country, unique features and horses as neighbors, this is the place for you. We loved the rough finishes and unique touches of the interior and the quiet and serene back yard off the patio.
The hostess was very helpful and communicative. The property was well maintained and the cabin itself was meticulously kept up with.Would definitely stay here again.
I recently stayed near Glencoe, KY in a unique and wonderful property. This restored barn is all farm on the outside and all cabin farmhouse on the inside. The property was quiet and spacious allowing us peaceful outdoor time, including loving on the horses on site. Indoors we enjoyed modern amenities in a rustic decor. Two bedrooms plus two living areas and three bathrooms provided ample room for our four adults in our family to enjoy their own personal space as well as family time together. Our host was wonderful, greeting us on arrival and checking in during the week. We loved our stay! Great location, too, for parks and attractions nearby as well as small town exploration.
Nice property, good amenities. Interior doors were difficult to have stay closed, exterior door lock wasn’t working properly, and it wasn’t quite ready at our scheduled check-in time, but these were only slight inconveniences.
