Salty Pause: Dog-Friendly Townhome 3 Blocks from the Beach!

Bring your whole family, including your precious pooch, to the beautiful New Jersey shore for a fun vacation! Nicely decorated/recently renovated 4 bedroom, 2 full bath townhome just three blocks from the beach and one block from tennis, basketball and a playground. The house is located near the west end of 40th Street, near 4th Avenue.

The first floor has three bedrooms (one with a king bed, one with 2 twin beds, one with 2 queen beds ) and 1 full bathroom with a double vanity and shower. The second floor has the Primary bedroom (king bed), 1 full bathroom with shower, laundry closet, fully-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and living room with vaulted ceiling, fireplace, TV, sectional sofa and 2 dining tables. Sliding doors open to a deck with a dining table and 10 chairs. All bedrooms have TVs. The house is fully equipped with bed linens, bath towels and beach towels.

The yard is fully fenced. The backyard has a nice outdoor shower and a large deck with 4 lounge chairs, 5 Acapulco chairs and a Weber gas grill. The shed contains 10 beach cruiser bikes and beach toys, and a container near the front door has 8 backpack-style beach chairs (additional chairs in shed).

This house is dog-friendly. Although the house is thoroughly cleaned between renters, if you or your family members have pet allergies, you should consider another house.

Rental includes 8 seasonal beach tags and 10 bikes for use during stay. Your rental also includes all linens (bedding, kitchen, bath and beach towels) paper towels and toilet paper.

Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Pet hair should be removed from furniture. If excessive cleaning is required, an additional cleaning fee could result and will be deducted from your security deposit.
Return beach chairs to the storage container outside the front door. Return bikes/beach games to shed and lock shed.
Leave all keys inside the property hanging on the hook near the door. Return the 8 beach tags to the pouch by the front door.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Please use black make-up towels remove make-up so we can keep our washcloths white!

We have been going to Avalon since 2002 and have stayed at many places. Now that we have a dog it’s harder to find pet friendly properties, but Salty Paws fit our needs. Our dog thoroughly enjoyed the balcony and watching the cars and people. We enjoyed the large kitchen and living space that allowed our family to cook meals, play games and do a puzzle.Thanks for the great stay.

Great location to go to either downtown Avalon or a quick bike ride to Stone Harbor. Beach access is two and a half blocks away. Provided buggy, chairs, passes were a big . Bikes (and pump) also a welcomed addition and made packing for the trip that much easier. Nice gas grill and kitchen made home meals a snap. Bring a few utensils/extras like a colander, aluminum foil, spices (kitchen had basics), and shampoo/conditioner. Beds were comfy and linens were fresh. Overall, a nice place to spend a week.

We had a fabulous vacation. The house was in a great location and very nice. All the extra amenities were so nice and made the trip even more relaxing. Took bike rides and played games. We have stayed at Susan’s property for more than the past 6 consecutive summers and already booked for 2027. She is a thoughtful, caring, accommodating host who has always made us feel at home, even though we have never met her in person. This summer the place was immaculately clean and had beach towels, bath towels and sheets waiting for us (saves a lot of space for packing other things). Great stay for July 4th week

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property for July 4th week in Avalon! It’s in a good location to be able to enjoy all that Avalon and Stone Harbor have to offer for a group of 7-8 friends who enjoy the beach during the day and the nightlife in the evening. Would definitely stay here again!

We love the Jersey shore, but now that we live in Southern California we do not make it there very often. Instead, we invite you to enjoy our home and everything 7 Mile Island has to offer. We miss it!

Why they chose this property

It is hard to find a nicely decorated, clean and comfortable house at the shore where you can bring your 4-legged family member. Our house is close to the beach, playground, and everything Avalon has to offer (restaurants, mini-golf, ice cream, shops, grocery, tennis, etc.).

What makes this property unique

We are dog-friendly! We provide all of the linens, towels, and paper products (paper towels, toilet paper, coffee filters).
