About this property
Amazing Location-Parker House Est 1806-King Beds-Warren Sqr-Courtyard-Parking
Parker House…Southern charm in a fabulous location🌸 Parker House is in the heart of Historic Savannah on beautiful Warren Square. It’s an easy walk to restaurants & bars, Broughton St. shopping & world famous River Street & the Eastern Wharf.
Here, you can experience history in one the city's oldest homes, circa 1806. Immerse yourself in the architecture & historic details, while enjoying all the modern comforts: updated bathrooms, smart TVs, a gourmet kitchen, Wi-Fi, a parking space steps from the front door & a gorgeous private courtyard complete with outdoor seating, bubbling fountain & vintage statue as your own personal oasis in the heart of the historic district.
You'll feel right at home at Parker House. Our comfortable 4-bedroom, 2 ½-bath home offers both sanctuary & historic charm for eight guests. The interior features antiques, original pine floors accented with colorful area rugs & gorgeous natural light throughout. With the main (parlor level) floor featuring an open floor plan & soaring ceilings, each space feels unrestricted, yet cozy. Open the front door to reveal the classic turned staircase, antique chandelier & Eastlake hall tree. Step into the living room & choose a favorite chair as you recap the day's activities or plan for tomorrow. This parlor level is also perfect for entertaining the family or friends. Through its pocket doors, it opens up to a spacious dining room & bar seating that separates the dining room from the gourmet kitchen. At the end of the bar, you'll find two under-counter refrigerators to be stocked as you like.
Up the turned staircase to the second floor, you’ll find the spacious master bedroom with its 12-foot ceiling & moulding details, king-size brass & iron bed, Smart TV & sitting area with a decorative fireplace. The adjacent bath features a lovely vanity sitting area & full size tub/shower.
The lower level, or garden level, master suite boasts a king iron bed, Smart TV, decorative fireplace & en-suite full size bathroom with tub/shower. Also on this garden level is a 2nd bedroom furnished with two comfy twin beds & dresser. This bedroom shares the full size bathroom with the master suite.
To top it all off, the 3rd floor bedroom rewards you with a treetop view of Warren Square & your lovely courtyard below. The cozy attic ceiling surrounds the queen iron sleigh bed. Many visitors have called it their favorite room in the house. (Note: The stairs to the 3rd floor are narrow & twist tightly, as you'll find in so many houses of this era. Even though they are carpeted, please use them only if you're sure-footed, use the handrails & watch your step going up & down.)
Of course, you can soak in the outdoors without leaving Parker House too. Open the door from the kitchen to the back porch, where comfortable rocking chairs & bistro style table & chairs invite you to relax over morning coffee. Enjoy our recent renovations as you step down the stairs to our private brick courtyard which is beautifully appointed with vintage statues, bubbling fountain, & comfy outdoor sofa, chairs & loveseat seating. In the evening, the cafe lights come on & you simply want to enjoy a cocktail, dessert or charcuterie board while relaxing in your very own downtown oasis.
However, if you’ve planned a day of downtown exploring, you’re in the right spot. Parker House is only 2 blocks from…the Olde Pink House restaurant, touted as “the epitome of southern dining in the historic district, equally enjoyed by locals and tourists alike”, the regally restored Lucas Theatre, the timeless Pirates House, regarded as “Savannah’s most intriguing & historical” restaurant that first opened in 1753 as a seafarer’s inn, delicious brunch spot hub, B Matthews Eatery, Broughton Street shops, boutiques, eateries, iconic Leopold’s Ice cream Shop & of course, Riverstreet, where you can stroll through the cobblestone riverfront filled with shopping, restaurants & entertainment venues all while watching the ships pass through the Savannah Harbour. Parker House is also several blocks from the newest Savannah hotspot, the Eastern Wharf, a riverfront “walkable 54-acre gathering place with community parks, and curated shops and restaurants” including my favorite Rooftop bar & brunch spot, Bar Julian. Whatever your downtown Savannah vacation plans entail, Parker House is where you want to be🌸

About the host
Hosted by Donna Daugherty
Although, I was born in Syracuse, NY, I consider myself a southerner as I’ve lived in Savannah for over half a century! I am a wife, mother of 3, property manager and avid pickleball enthusiast:) As my husband & I embrace our new “empty nest”, we’ve expanded our short term rentals to the downtown area because we absolutely love the history and charm of Savannah’s Landmark District. We feel very fortunate to own a piece of this history at Parker House & we enjoy sharing it with other travelers who come to visit the hostess city🌸
Why they chose this property
We chose this neighborhood because it is in the hub of the historic district and within walking distance to all the favorites of downtown Savannah. But, it still has the feel of a neighborhood as Parker House overlooks peaceful Warren Square with the majestic oaks and Spanish moss.
What makes this property unique
Parker House is a unique experience for the traveler because you can immerse yourself in the history of the area and still enjoy the modern conveniences families and groups of friends love on a vacation. The rooms are spacious with comfy beds & linens, a gourmet kitchen, large living room, gorgeous antique furnishings, beautiful turned staircase and private courtyard with lovely statues & bubbling fountain.
