Great stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at The Listening Place. It is in a great location…quiet yet convenient and close to the lake. The cabin is outfitted with the things needed to accommodate a short or long stay…just bring yourself and your food and you’re set!

Peaceful hideaway

While you have some nearby neighbors (200+ yards), this place is a clean private little getaway! Check in was a breeze but finding the place could prove tricky if you don’t download a map first. The place is also stocked with most cooking and basic household necessities. If visiting the area again, I’d absolutely stay here again.

Perfect Thanksgiving

We spent 10 days in this lovely cabin. We knew the area, and had a blast as usual. The cabin had everything that we needed. I was a bit scared, that it will be hard to make the Thanksgiving dinner, but the kitchen had everything and we had our best Thanksgiving ever. The weather was nice, but because the early morning freeze , we left our car down at the main road, so we didn't have to worry about slippery road. It was a great workout for all of us to go down in the mornings and up in the evenings. :) We really enjoyed the comfort of the warm fireplace, the washing machine and dryer when we needed it, the comfy beds and the big enough dining table. We only had a hard time with the Wi-Fi , which was only important for the daily program plannings and gps usage, but about 2 miles we found a very cute library, and used their internet. They also have a great selection of DVDs and books. :) The view is amazing and unforgettable, the house was clean and well equipped and we are happy, that we were able to bring our little puppy with us. I hope we will be back soon!

This cabin is very cozy and feels like grandma's home. It's on the older end, but all amenities were available. It was helpful to have the washer and dryer as well as the kitchen amenities.Please be aware that there is only 1 full bathroom with a shower, and downstairs has 1 half bathroom (no shower). None of the bathrooms have locks on them, and the bathroom upstairs connects the 2 bedrooms, which makes for uncomfortable situations if you accidentally open it on someone.There was also a slight mildew smell in the house. This was less noticeable once we turned the air on. I believe it might be from the doormats at the entrances. Also, in the room with 4 single beds, 2 of the single beds were in the closet, which was an interesting layout. This may be uncomfortable for some guests.Overall, it was a pleasant stay for a wedding nearby.
