Escape to this peaceful cottage in picturesque Moneta. This cozy retreat features 2 full beds, a bathroom with a shower, and essential amenities and your own private hot tub located on the water!!! Relax in the serene surroundings and enjoy beautiful lake views. At night sit around the massive gas Firepit. We're happy to assist with any questions while you stay at our studio. Located only 1 minute walk to Va Dare dining and boat tours and of course Portside Bar and Grille! Come listen to live music, enjoy tasty food, island creation beverages & enjoy the views without having to drive a car or boat. Boat slip included and for jet skis only. Will hold 2 jet skis, 2 per studio! All of your linens and towels are included. Just need to bring your groceries and beach towels. Get ready to cook some wonderful meals on your Blackstone. We would love to have you at Driftwood. If you would like to rent both Driftwood and Birtchwood for your entire family that way all 8 can enjoy a stay together!!

Modern, clean and beautiful. It’s a duplex, a little bit to close to next door it’s really good if you have a 2 family or big families you can rent both places. Very close to restaurants and bars serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Manager are very nice and they will help you out fast it you have any issues or requests

Adorable cottage, superbly decorated, centrally located. Hosts were easily accessible and very amiable. Highly recommended.

This is 99.9% exactly how described. Your water view is slightly obstructed due to trees on the shore that the owner isn’t allowed to do anything about. Very charming and cute. Clean and comfortable. Very compact and efficient. I only have one suggestion, and that is to put a door covering on the only door in and out of the place. It’s a wonderful view and natural light. However, if the other side of the duplex is rented, and they are using the shared sitting area around the fireplace, they can see directly into the other unit. I mentioned this to the owner, and they were quick to reply with their reasoning, and that they would look into it. The bathroom has a barn style sliding door. Needs to be stopped at just the right place to block any view of the inside. We have no complaints. We would rent again!

The cottage is adorable! Our experience was Ok, but the kitchen was not well appointed. Typically, there is some basic essentials stocked in the kitchen but there were none. We had no coffee as it was a Keurig and when I asked about the coffee maker I was not told we needed to bring coffee (they should have had a couple of "pods" available as we don't use a Keurig), no plastic wrap or ziplocks, and there were no sharp knives, just dinner knives etc. The bathroom has NO privacy. You do not want to go stay there with another couple as you can see in the bathroom---it is a barn door and offers NO privacy. There might as well not be a door on it. We were disappointed as our overall opinion is that it needs more work and additions to make it really enjoyable.

Wendi- We are so sorry to hear you thought the kitchen was not well stocked. I personally made sure the kitchen had everything needed for everyone’s stay! I have a very expensive steak knife sets everything you need down to books of matches!! We provide the kitchen and all the essentials, but all of our guests bring their own groceries, drinks etc. we own over 50 rentals at the lake and I have never heard of people wanting me to supply their coffee and plastic wrap. All of our guests have different taste and they always bring their own😊 We have stayed numerous times and NEVER had a problem with the barn door. We bend over backwards for our guests and I recall you never reached out, didn’t even thank me for the early check-in. We heard nothing from you during your stay!!! If the door was malfunctioning, you should have let us know. We are up at the lake every weekend. My steak knives upset me, someone walked out with a $150 set of knives. Please to other VRBO owners use your words, communication goes a long way in making guests happy. Good day to you😌 Warmly, Meredith
