We had an amazing stay at this lake house! It was incredibly roomy and one of the most comfortable places we’ve stayed. Everything was very clean, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day on the lake. The glass great room was absolutely exceptional — the views and natural light made it our favorite spot in the house. We stayed for a week and would definitely come back again. Highly recommend this beautiful lake house!

It was very pretty and relaxing to stay there. There was plenty of kitchen pots and pans, etc. Our only complaint is that, while the livingrooms are great, we would have liked the option of blinds/curtains for privacy, especially in the dining room facing the house next door, the kitchen window, and the downstairs bedroom(s) had no curtains, also. Our host, Scott was very helpful and answered our questions when we contacted him.

I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. There are blinds in the dining room that pull down. They are usually all the way up to let light in as there are rarely people next door, sorry you missed them

I was disappointed with the condition of the property, especially given the price and cleaning fee. When I arrived, the home did not appear to have been cleaned thoroughly. In the master bathroom, there were visible cleanliness issues around the toilet. The comforter on the master bed also had a noticeable amount of pet hair on it. I also found dead bugs in corners of the master bedroom and living room, and the outdoor lounge areas had debris and what appeared to be mildew or buildup on the tables and chairs.Because of these concerns, I chose to leave one night early. On a positive note, communication with the host was good, and the location of the property was convenient. That is the main reason I did not rate the stay lower.

Sorry I couldn’t accommodate your 1 night stay via your reservation, not sure a poor review was the best way to address that. All of your concerns could have been easily addressed had I been made aware at anytime as I want everyone to enjoy the house fully. Odd you would mention good communication but never contact me. I believe the review left by the person staying immediately after you is more reflective of reality
Very nice home, clean and comfortable. The walk to the dock was steep and long. Many other properties share the same issue. The path to the dock was well lit after dark which was a plus. Had a great time.
Overall a wonderful relaxing place to stay. Perfect for our group of 3 individuals. Roomy and had everything needed for a great get away. Will definitely return
We enjoyed the house and lake very much. The walls of windows are beautiful and the house was cozy. It’s not a fancy place but was perfect for a getaway. We’d love to come back again!
We had a great time at Smith Mountain Lake. The house is well appointed and in a great location. It was great to walk down to the dock and enjoy the morning sun.
We had a wonderful stay. The neighborhood was nice and quiet and we loved sitting out on the dock reading or in the living room with the beautiful large windows. Lounging in the hot tub was the perfect way to end the day. Everything was very accurate to the pictures and perfect for our vacation. Would definitely stay again.
We loved this quiet tucked away home away from home. The wall of windows provided a great view of the lake and morning sunrise. We were able to recharge our batteries before returning to our busy lifestyles.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay. The location was great, convenient to grocery and restaurants. The lake was super relaxing and so fun to be in a cove looking out to the bigger lake and boats going by. A very quick response from Scott when needed.
Nice lake house with dock. Rented pontoon boat, cruised and fished. Close to grocery store and restaurants and the Homestead Creamery for the best ice cream ever. Stay was just too short.
My wife and I adored our stay at Smith Mountain lake! This cabin has plenty of fireplaces, lots of room to sleep, a hot tub, and super easy access to the water. The pictures don’t do the windows justice. We plan on returning!
The property was as advertised with many fun amenities including games, videos, music a great location and wonderful weather for our time. Scott the host was very helpful and we had a different excursion each day: boating, hiking, horseshoes, hot tub and so much more. This is a 5 Star resort with a great host. Thanks for the memories!
we had a great time, it rained 4 out of 5 days. we stayed in the screened in porch and enjoyed the view and our family.
talked to owner and he was very helpful. good walk to deck but was easier than using all the steps. would love to go back next year.

Great location the walk down to the dock was a little dangerous
It was nice I would come back, but I probably would also try something new. The trip was a little distracted because my son had pancreatitis and spent a day in the hospital.
Everything here was perfect - we had no complaints. We had two questions come up during our weeklong stay and the property manager responded each time in less than an hour. The view of the lake from the whole backside of the house was amazing! The slide on the dock was much enjoyed by a seven-year-old in our group. We have been coming to Smith Mountain Lake most summers for close to 20 years and this has definitely been our favorite property. We will return!

Perfect weekend
The,home was clean and had all conveniences and then some. Loved the great room with wall of windows ans spent evenings playing board games from the huge selection there. Spent most of our day at the dock swimming, fishing, sunbathing and even tried the canoe and paddle boat for added adventure. Afternoon shade was welcomed and the hot tub a hit in the evening. The furniture is somewhat outdated but accurately reflected in pictures.
The house is located in a very nice quite cove, great for swimming. We loved the dock, morning sun and afternoon shade. The house is older but it had everything we needed and very spacious! The extra bedrooms are downstairs which are nice for the teenagers and older kids. There is a graveled path from the house to the dock which zigzags so it's not straight up and down (but it will let you know how out of shape you are). The house is close to Drifters and within a few minute boat ride to other restaurants on the lake including the bridge.
