Spacious, bright, year-round living space looks out onto 500+ acres of family's fields and woodlands. Listen to the gurgle of the Mill Brook as you relax at Brookland Farm. Enjoy your morning coffee on a sunny terrace, or, at the end of the day relax with a cocktail on the screen porch as you take in the sunset over Mt. Whiteface and Passaconway.
The home itself is a 3000 sq ft, 1 and 1/2 story renovated, 200+ yearold farmhouse with a 10 beds (3 queens (one with reduced privacy), 5 twins, 1 single, and a pullout queen couch) and a modern eat-in kitchen (5 burner gas range, dishwasher, stainless appliances, wood floors). Laundry, family genealogy room, and one bedroom are adjacent to the kitchen. Highspeed wireless Internet, digital TV with DVD player. At the far end of house is a big room (23' by 24') for larger gatherings with a fireplace, dining room table (seats 12), and nearby screen porch.
Sprawling layout accommodates a large number of guests (12 maximum) to enjoy both indoor and outdoor entertaining no matter the season. Surrounded by gently rolling fields and ancient stone walls, the property is peaceful, quiet, and beautifully landscaped with numerous flower beds.
Outdoor living space includes a terrace with a gas grill, an adjacent screen porch with mountain views, and a bungalow with 2 hammocks to relax in. In our nearby private pond, enjoy a relaxing swim or go fishing (pond stocked with small mouth bass).

I live in Newton MA, a suburb of Boston. I work as a finance professor at several Boston area business schools. My wife is a neuropsychologist working in Wellesley MA. We like to go to NH and go hiking, skiing and swimming. We also like to go to Cape Code to go swimming, play golf, bicycling, etc.
Why they chose this property
My family has lived in this house for over 65 years and in the area for over 150 years. This is a wonderful house so please be respectful and treat it like your own.
I'm available by phone or by email to respond to renters' questions. In addition, my brother (who lives 500 yards away) will also be available to respond to questions, give out keys to guests, etc.
