STARS ~ 4 bedroom, 2 Bath Condo, Shared Heated Pool, Downtown Location!

When you do not need the entire compound but still want to enjoy this magnificent property in the heart of Old Town Key West, you can rent "Stars", the first floor condo of the "Stars & Stripes" compound.
***PRIMARY GUEST MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE

INSIDE AND SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS...
This home offers four bedrooms, a living room with indoor dining for four, a fully equipped chef’s kitchen and a tiled bath with clawfoot tub and walk-in glass shower.  The first bedroom has a comfortable king bedroom with armoire, flat screen TV and is right next to the bathroom.  The second bedroom is just across the hall is the twin room with armoire and flat screen (twins convert to a king). The third bedroom has an adjoining door from the twin bedroom with a queen bed. And the fourth bedroom is a private suite that may be adjoined to the third bedroom, or from the outside if you prefer more privacy. The suite is like having your own unit; perfect for a couple or a family with kids. There is a full bath with shower/tub combo, wet bar with mini fridge and microwave in between the 3rd and 4th bedrooms.

There is also a sofa sleeper in the living room for additional guests.

OUTDOOR LIVING...
If you walk out the kitchen’s beautiful French doors to the deck there is a four-top outdoor dining table. The compound has a heated pool that is shared by the other condo on the premises (Stripes; levels 2 & 3). All guests have access to the laundry area, grill and grounds.

PARKING...
One parking space is available that is first-come-first-serve with the unit above. You can find non-residential parking spaces in the surrounding area, or there is also The Old Town Garage a few blocks away. But this home is in an ideal location, and you don't need a car as you can walk or bike to almost anywhere you will want. If you need a ride, Ubers and Lyfts are readily available. The grocery is just a couple of blocks away, and you can also have groceries delivered or the fridge stocked by our concierge prior to arrival!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was not as expected based on the photos/description. It was clean, but well worn. The pool area had plastic as a fence barrier and the pool was not clean. Upon arrival, we discovered we were not the only clients as we'd expected. The 2nd floor was occupied by 8 students on spring break. They were very nice young men, however we'd not planned on sharing the pool space and common areas.

Such a cute place in the heart of Key West. Walking distance to the marina where we kept our boat. Walking distance to great restaurants and amazing nightlife but far enough a way to be very, very quiet. We loved it and we will definitely be back.

Perfect Location

We had 4 couples stay at this amazing property. The house is perfect; each couple had a bedroom which had its own door to the outside. The garden/pool area is so relaxing, quiet and beautifully protected from the sun. Easy walking distance to Duvall Street, Mallory Square, etc. The host and property managers were very accommodating and quick to respond. We definitely will return to this property.

Pros: location was great, had enough room for 9 of us. Host/property manager was quick to respond to issues. Easy check in/out.Cons: the pictures online must be pretty dated. The entire pool area is completely shaded and there is nowhere to sun yourself. The pool patio furniture was in desperate need of power washing, we wouldnt even sit in some of the chairs. And the pool area in general was just ok at best, needs maintenance, a few boards around the deck were busted. The fit and finish for the amount we paid was definitely under par. Door handle completely fell off front door that had tape over the lock. If people are renting upstairs, you will hear them.

We’re sorry that some aspects of the property did not meet your expectations. The pool area is surrounded by beautiful mature vegetation, which many guests enjoy for privacy and shade, though we understand this can limit sun exposure and may not suit everyone’s preference. The outdoor furniture had been thoroughly cleaned and power washed with bleach before your arrival, but we acknowledge that some staining remains, and we are always evaluating replacement options as part of ongoing property improvements. Regarding the pool deck, the loose board you encountered was repaired promptly once you brought it to our attention. The door handle issue was also addressed as quickly as possible; due to a broken key inside the lock, a temporary solution was put in place to prevent guests from being locked out while we waited for a locksmith. The deadbolt remained fully functional during this time. We also want to note that the home is clearly advertised as part of a multi-level property, and we strive to be transparent about this in all listings. We appreciate your comments, as they help us continue to improve the guest experience, and we thank you again for staying with us.
