Great property next to a creek within 40 minutes of 2 hiking paths to the north, one being the moderately difficult Roaring Run Furnance and Falls Trail. Cabin is perfect for a couple looking for a king bed, kitchen, den and bathroom on the same floor. Loft has additional bed up a spiral staircase for the kids. Easy 2-step access to the front door from the parking area. Access also good on an incline to the creek from back of cabin. Closer to the Town of New Castle is a much larger than we expected grocery store named Food Country USA on same road to the cabin. Also, we enjoyed dinner one night at the Pine Top Restuarant, about 5 minutes north of the cabin with great food at reasonable prices. One other important note about the Roaring Run Furnance and Falls Trail. If you have balance issues, you may want to take the trail going to the right at the trailhead which which takes you past the 175year old furnance structure and then close to the bottom of the falls without having to step up and over many rocks like there are on the trail going to the left. Whatever you do, always take a walking stick, one of which is at the cabin front door. Overall, we'd stay at this cabin again in the future!

Great cabin with wonderful views

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin and would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a nice peaceful getaway. The kayaks and fire pit were wonderful amenities that we enjoyed as well!
