Our experience with this guest was extremely unpleasant and stressful.
Upon arrival, the guest and her family refused to pay the pre-agreed remaining balance, despite confirming it before check-in. They claimed the booking was made by their 77-year-old mother and tried to suggest she was not aware of the agreement – which was not true, as the guest herself had confirmed all terms in writing before arrival.
The situation escalated to the point that police had to be called to the property. Based on the sequence of events, it was clear to us that this was a carefully planned strategy to avoid paying the agreed price.
We strongly recommend that other hosts avoid accepting this guest’s bookings, or at the very least secure full payment before handing over keys.
