About this property
Couples Cabin | Screened Hot Tub, Outdoor TV & King Bed · Near Helen, GA
Honey Bee is a private, single-level log cabin tucked into the woods of Sautee Nacoochee, designed for two people who need to actually stop for a minute. The warm wood interior, vaulted ceilings, and big windows make it feel open and connected to the forest outside without sacrificing the cozy. Everything sits on one level, no stairs after a long day on the trails. Just pull in, unlock the door, and start unwinding. THE SCREENED DECK: WHERE YOU WILL ACTUALLY SPEND YOUR TIME The screened-in deck is the heart of Honey Bee, and guests tell us it is where they end up spending most of their time. The private hot tub is professionally drained, cleaned, and sanitized before every arrival, and it is hot and ready when you get there. An outdoor Smart TV lets you watch from the water. A gas grill and seating turn the deck into a second living room. Fully screened, you get all of it in every season: spring evenings, summer nights, crisp fall air, and winter soaks that are genuinely something else. Rain or bugs, it does not matter. THE BEDROOM Calm and dark the way a good bedroom should be. A king bed with a memory foam mattress and soft layered linens is built for the kind of sleep you actually came here for. Warm wood accents and soft lighting round out the space. French doors open directly onto the screened deck and hot tub, so the gap between waking up and soaking is about fifteen steps. THE LIVING ROOM The open-concept living area centers around a gas fireplace, available from Labor Day through Memorial Day when the mountain air turns cool. A flat-screen Smart TV, board games, and fast fiber WiFi give you options for quiet nights in. A queen sleeper sofa adds flexibility for an additional guest or two, though Honey Bee is genuinely built for two. THE KITCHEN Fully stocked for whatever you feel like, whether that is morning coffee and eggs before a hike or a proper dinner when you realize you are not driving anywhere. Full-size refrigerator, stovetop, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and a complete cookware set. The Keurig and Nespresso machines handle the mornings. Brew a cup and carry it straight to the deck. About the host
Hosted by Todd and Jenny
We're Todd and Jenny, and Honey Bee is one of our own cabins, which means we have a personal stake in making sure it's exactly right every time.
We fell in love with the Sautee Nacoochee area years ago and have spent a lot of time thinking about what makes a mountain getaway actually feel like one. That thinking is in every detail at Honey Bee, from the screened deck that lets you use the hot tub in any season, to the open layout that makes the fireplace the heart of the whole cabin.
We know this area well and are always happy to share what we actually recommend, not just the obvious stops. The hidden waterfalls, the wineries worth the drive, the best time to catch the fall color on the valley road. Just ask. We're responsive, we care about the details, and we want your stay to be the kind you talk about on the drive home.
Why they chose this property
Sautee Nacoochee is one of those places that feels genuinely undiscovered even though it's right in the middle of everything. The valley is beautiful in every season, but particularly stunning in fall when the color comes down off the ridge and fills the whole drive in from Helen.
The community Honey Bee sits in is quiet and wooded, which gives the cabin a secluded feel that you simply don't get when you stay right in downtown Helen. Deer wander through regularly. The nights are genuinely dark and quiet. It feels like the mountains are supposed to feel.
And yet you are never far from anything. Downtown Helen is 5.9 miles away. Unicoi State Park is 3.3 miles. Anna Ruby Falls, Dukes Creek Falls, and some of the best winery country in North Georgia are all within easy reach. The Sautee Nacoochee valley itself has its own charm worth exploring, including Hardman Farm, Nora Mill Granary, and the local vineyards that most Helen visitors never make it to.
For couples especially, this neighborhood strikes the right balance. You can fill your days with as much adventure as you want and come back to genuine quiet every evening.
What makes this property unique
Most cabins near Helen give you a choice. You either get a hot tub or you get a screened outdoor space. Honey Bee gives you both in the same place and adds an outdoor Smart TV so you can actually watch something from the water. That combination is genuinely rare in this market, and it is the single most mentioned feature in guest reviews.
The fireplace placement is the other thing that sets this cabin apart. Because of the open concept layout and vaulted ceilings, the gas fireplace is visible from both the king bed and the living area at the same time. You do not have to choose between a cozy bedroom and a cozy living room. The whole cabin feels warm.
The screened deck also solves a real problem for North Georgia mountain stays. Bug season is real, and most outdoor spaces become unusable for months at a time. The fully screened porch means the hot tub and outdoor living space are comfortable in any season, any time of evening.
Add 400MB fiber internet, three Smart TVs, a full kitchen with a dishwasher, a BBQ grill, and a private wooded setting just 5.9 miles from downtown Helen, and Honey Bee delivers a level of comfort and thoughtfulness that most one-bedroom cabins in this area simply do not match.
