Neighbors in this condo will be a problem
My wife and I reserved this condo for the July 4th weekend. It was only the 2 of us getting together for a cousin retreat with all my family. Overall the unit was great, all amenities were offered and solid communication with the owner/host. It's at a great location. This is where the problem is: My wife and I just came back from spending over 12 hours at the Colorado River with family on July 4th. We came back ready to shower and get cleaned up at 7:30pm until we get a knock on the door, less than 10mins in. My wife answers asking "May I ask who is knocking", turns out to be the neighbor downstairs answering to my wife sarcastically that their unit (we are on the above level and the neighbor is on the lower level) is experiencing clogged pipes and was gaslighting us that because we stayed at the time 1 night that we caused their plumbing problems. The neighbor mentioned that he contacted the "owner" and that we can't shower? I told him, how could my wife and I, completed only a 1 night stay, clog the unit downstairs. It sounded to me that the problem was there and we were easy targets to be blamed. I took over the conversation and shut the door on his white privilege face. I quickly contacted the owner and VBRO support for assistance. The owner contacted me and put effort in procuring the on-call plumber. It was a miracle for the owner to have the plumber come and fix the issue within an hour on July 4th. I give him huge credit. Neighbors will complain if you are BIPOC.
