Gorgeous Villa and Pool in Prestigious Rancho Santa Fe Gated Community

A perfect place to stay for visits to Legoland, the San Diego Zoo, the San Diego Zoo Safari Park (San Diego Wild Animal Park) and the Del Mar Race Track (Del Mar Thoroughbred Club).

Our home is a beautiful, custom-built Spanish estate situated at the top of the hill on two private, spacious acres. We’re located in the gated community of “The Groves”, formerly a spectacular orange grove situated in the rolling hills of Rancho Santa Fe, and are adjacent to “The Bridges” Championship golf course.

We absolutely love living here. The views are exceptional, the weather is spectacular and we feel fortunate to live in such a beautiful villa. Every room in this fully furnished, 5100 square foot house is large and made more magnificent by vaulted ceilings throughout.

The home’s winning design is centered around a courtyard with an over-sized hot tub and a classic Roman pool (50 feet long!) We spend long days in this courtyard which includes a gorgeous stone dining table with six wrought-iron chairs for evening dinners, as well as an array of premium chairs, lounges and love seats with all-weather mattresses.

The pool area integrates seamlessly with the house, separated by over 20 over-sized floor-to-ceiling doors that open directly onto our courtyards.

The grounds are as beautiful as the interior. We have 30+ orange trees from the original working grove as well as two large rose gardens. The views are gorgeous. We often enjoy watching the hot-air balloons that appear over the horizon in our front yard at sunset.

The amenities are also first class. For outdoor entertaining -- over sized pool, hot tub, porch heaters, porch fans, dramatic lighting and a 52" natural gas grill. For indoor comfort – Viking Range (6 gas burners), Dual Oven, Sub Zero Refrigerator, Premium Bosch Dishwasher, Wine Cooler, Over-sized Wood Fireplace, Two Gas Fireplaces, Master Bathroom with Dual Shower and His/Her Staging Areas, WIFI, 50” LCD TV with Cable and a formal dining room with a beautiful, custom-made table that seats twelve. For children – multiple TV’s and gaming systems, ping pong table, board games, basketball court, bicycles, lacrosse wall and orange juice squeezer (for making fresh orange juice from the adjacent grove). Two private tennis courts exclusive to Groves residents are also located within walking distance.

Stunning!

The listing description says it all- this property is located in a BEAUTIFUL community in Rancho Santa Fe, surrounded by beautiful orange trees. The house itself was very clean, and well-maintained. PLENTY of room, and nice to have so many bathrooms, so we could all claim our "own." Comfortable living room if you want to be inside, but you'll probably want to spend most of your time out by the pool and hot tub!! Outdoor living at its finest, and totally private...plenty of comfortable seating to relax/lounge, and an outdoor dining table to eat your meals! I would also recommend watching the sunsets from the front yard- the view out front is outstanding! Finally, the homeowners were very nice, and made sure we had a great time during our stay! I would definitely recommend this property!!

Great family fun getaway

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with our adult children and grandchildren. The house and pool area had plenty of space for our family of 10. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and everything needed to prepare wonderful meals. Our 4 grandchildren ages 14 to 8 had a great time in the mornings picking oranges to make orange juice for all of us. The house, furnishings, and gardens are fantastic. The grounds are very private but close enough to drive to the beaches and shopping. The house itself offered a great pool, ping pong, and tennis courts. It was the ideal spot . I would not hesitate to recommend this house to anyone.

This was our best vacation in the last ten years! We feel so fortunate to have found this place. Everyone voted and we’re definitely coming back. The house is gorgeous. There are huge glass doors everywhere so you feel outside even when you’re inside. It’s a perfect layout. Lots of space inside and out for socializing and eating. Plus the rooms are all so spacious, upscale and tastefully designed. The grounds are beautiful. We picked roses every day and also made fresh orange juice. I can’t say enough about the pool. There are a lot of great pools in San Diego but this one was especially amazing. Plus we “lived” in the over-sized hot tub. On top of that, the owners were so friendly and helpful. Always accommodating, always helpful and very nice people who care about their home and renters.

The Best!

We stayed at this lovely home for a week in July 2015 while in San Diego for our daughter's wedding and cannot say enough good things about our stay. The owner was very helpful from the start and everything was perfect. We loved the house, the pool, the orange orchard and the roses. Beautifully decorated and with everything you need for a very enjoyable stay. All of us loved going out to pick oranges and make fresh orange juice every morning. Great views, wonderful setting to relax and elegant, yet functional, decor. From our teenagers to the 100-year old grandparent, the house and outdoor amenities were enjoyed by all. Spacious - we especially loved the master bedroom suite - and the single floor living was very convenient, but with lots of room for everyone to have their own space or to gather all at once. Well equipped kitchen, perfect for cooking those family meals, and lots of space both inside and outside for dinner guests. We highly recommend this place and look forward to staying here again when we visit.

The Perfect Home for a Family Vacation

From the beginning the owner was very courteous and quickly responded to our inquiries. The initial arrangements were simple, and the family was even kind enough to allow us to stop by beforehand to show some of the features of the home. And the house simply put... was amazing! From the beautiful location, upkeep, decor, space, comfort, and breath taking views... I cannot emphasize enough how much we enjoyed ourselves. We had 7 adults, 3 toddlers, and 1 baby. The lovely home was large enough to easily accommodate everyone with room to spare. Every morning the kids enjoyed picking oranges and making fresh squeezed juice, and the outside pool area brings a serene feeling which allows you to kick back and relax. We enjoyed Legoland and the Safari Park which are close by, but may have had even more fun cooking family dinners and hanging out at the home. I don't think many people will be able to experience this type of luxury, so if you're fortunate enough to be able to rent this home you will not be disappointed. I would highly recommend it.

GREAT family vacation! Luxurious and Cozy!

Mini family reunion over the Thanksgiving Holiday. What a perfect home it turned out to be for us! We had 3 couples, 2 young adult girls, grandma, auntie, 2 toddlers and an infant. Each "couple" had their own bedroom and bathroom. The rooms were spacious enough to accommodate the portable cribs that each couple brought for their little one. The house provided lots of entertainment such as books, games, orange picking (from their little grove, we ate a lot of them), a ping pong table, tennis racquets and much,much more! The provided entertainment kept all of us busy doing something. The jacuzzi and pool are beautifully designed and were utilized a lot. the patio area was comfortable and relaxing for Grandma to watch the kids. We cooked meals,watched movies in the cozy family room, and just spent quality time together. Bill and Dana are accommodating, always available, and VERY nice people who care about their home and renters. This was a FABULOUS vacation!! HIGHLY recommend this gorgeous home!

Great Vacation!

We spent a wonderful week in this Rancho Santa Fe villa. We had 8 in our party; 6 adults and 2 14 year old girls. The home was clean, well stocked and had state of the art features that our group utilized. The 5 bedroom and 4 1/2 bath home was spacious. This allowed our group to be together in the kitchen, family room and pool area and also allowed privacy when needed. The teens spent many hours in the pool and spa. Everything the San Diego area offers was within easy driving distance including the beaches, shopping, restaurants and the Del Mar racetrack. We highly recommend this property.
