Nestled behind its own private gated entry leading to secluded grounds. Relax in the heated loggia w/ gas log fireplace, gas heaters, bar, pizza oven, and dining area OR on the patio with a wood fireplace, pool table, and heaters, OR chat around the gas fire pit, OR walk around the two acre property and pick fruit, berries, and nuts that are in season. The gate at the bottom of the property gives you direct access to the village walking trails. The property consists of a main house with four bedrooms and 5 bathrooms and a guest house with 4 bedrooms (one being a bunk room with 5 queen/double beds) and 3 1/2 baths and garage. Chef's kitchen features Wolf oven/stove/warming drawers/convection M/W drawer, Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer with glass paneled refrig, copper pounded vegetable sink, farm house sink, 2 Bosch D/W, water filtration throughout the home. Main floor master BR w/gas fireplace and his and her toilets. Two-story library with circular staircase and gas fireplace. Theatre room is equipped with 8 power recliners. The gym is equipped with a treadmill, floor weighted punching bag, several yoga mats, and full-size weight rack.

Stunning home on a gorgeous property

The perfect place to host a weekend with 17 adults!! We made so many special memories. More than enough space to spend time together or relax alone. Everyone in our group wants to go back to this property again soon!

Family Reunion

The property was fantastic. All the rooms were larger than what the pictures on the Internet showed. It was well-maintained, clean, and had all of the accommodating things that a family needs to stay there for a week. We will definitely consider coming back to this property again.

90th Birthday Celebration

This property was beautiful and was fabulous for the 20 guests celebrating my mom's 90th birthday. Many of the guests flew in from areas that had already gotten cold, so the warm weather and outdoor spaces were a hit, especially the pool. I can not say enough about how accommodating and responsive the hosts were to our requests. I hope we get to work with them again.

Family Vacation

We truly enjoyed our time together and all the spaces & amenities! The theater was a big hit with the kids! And the pool & hot tub was enjoyed by all! A few hiccups with a dryer & garbage pickup but owners were quick to answer & looking for solutions. The kitchen was wonderful to cook in for 23 people! We have a couple families who now want a new stove...like the one at this house! Location was good - close to our tour destinations but far away from crowds & traffic and in a nice, quiet neighborhood.

Spectacular

The pictures do not do the house and property justice. It is much larger and more spectacular than they could ever show. Our group consisted of eight gentlemen who could not believe our luck in finding such an extraordinary property. It really exceeded all expectations. I cannot recommend it highly enough. We will definitely be returning.

Simply Amazing!!

Simply amazing! We had our family gathering and this by far is the best home we have ever stayed at. Something for everyone to do. A week wasn’t long enough to enjoy all the amenities this property has to offer. From the walking trails, pool and jacuzzi, poker night, movie night to just lounging around. The big hit was pizza night using the outdoor pizza oven. This home is truly a special retreat. Samantha and the team were great with communication and very responsive to the few questions we had. The family is already asking when we can do this home again! Thanks for a very memorable time!

Best Family Home

Our family (18, ranging from 17 to 78 + dog) rents a house each summer. We've stayed in some really nice places over the years, but this was the best. The pictures and reviews don't do it justice. The entire property is absolutely beautiful and there is so much to do, from walking along the riding trails to using the sauna. It is clearly a family home and is full of family pictures. The whole family really, really loved it. Also, the property is really close to multiple attractions (beach, races, zoo). Everyone raved. We tried to book next summer, but it's already rented. I'll check every few weeks in case someone cancels.

Pure Perfection!

We could not imagine a place fitting the needs of our family gathering better than this Spacious Family Home! We were 16 people ranging in age from 2 yrs to 76. We represented 7 separate households and all were amazingly comfortable. We found gathering space when desired and privacy when needed. The kids, aged 2, 3, 4, & 9 found places to run, play, and be curious. Hosts Samantha & Christian were responsive & helpful throughout our stay. Prior to arriving, we asked about a Pack-n-Play & Samantha secured one for us.For such a large property, everything ran so smoothly & as it should. We were easily able to park 6 cars & a 21 ft travel trailer in the parking area. The pool & hot tub, replete with many toys, kept kids & adults warm & happy for hours on end. The kitchen was stocked with equipment that enabled feast after feast. We had lots of fun making pizzas in the wood-burning oven. The local trail system allowed for many walks, runs, & thrills for the kids as they communed with neighboring goats, llamas, & lemon trees. Absolutely bucolic!The only very minor suggestion to improve an already fabulous property would be to provide a few unbreakable dishes for kids (& clumsy adults) to use on stone/concrete floors. All in all, this property and our experience there was Pure Perfection. Thank you so much, Samantha & Christian, for allowing us to share your amazing villa. Our memories will last forever!

50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration

This is a fabulous home, just perfect for our 50th wedding anniversary celebration. Initially, the families with children planned a lot of San Diego area activities. Most of those plans were changed once they experienced this home. The home in person is even nicer than the photos on the site can convey. The features and amenities provide for a variety of ways to relax and have fun. The kitchen was large enough for multiple cooks to work beside one another. The covered outdoor patio and the living room/great room area, allowed us to gather in one space for eating or to play games. Those who wanted quiet time easily found their privacy, while family members who wanted to interact found multiple ways to do so - in the water, on the lawn or in the variety of available games. The communications with with Samantha (the owner we dealt), was incredible. Prior to the reservation, she promptly responded to several "clarification" questions. Moments after the reservation was made (over a year ago), she wrote a warm "welcome" note. Every additional communication was responded to in a timely manner. Samantha was a joy to work with. Bottom line, this was the perfect place for our mini-family reunion. We highly recommend this house.

This is an amazing property. We met here for a family reunion and loved it. It was just as advertised - clean, spacious, well equipped, and beautiful. The kitchen is massive, we had 5 cooks in at once without any trouble. The refrigerator and freezer are large enough to accommodate a large group. The pool and spa were lovely and a big hit. We highly recommend this place.

The house is beautiful. We had family come from all over the country and they were blown away by all of the details in this house. Loved the pool, home theater and putting green. Not to mention watching the sunsets from the outdoor sitting area. From checkin to checkout the owner took care of us. Would highly recommend!!

Annual Family Vacation

We rent a house somewhere new every April to spend time with of grandkids, kids and family. We came to San Diego this year and it was the most beautiful house we have ever stayed in! So well equipped with everything we needed. I love to cook and to use the Wolf stove and double ovens was a dream! We never went out to dinner once, cooked everyday. The pizza oven outside was a huge hit too. All the bedrooms were large and the beds comfortable. The kids were in the pool everyday after a fun filled excursion. We had a small issue with heating the hot tub but the manager was right on top of it. Anytime I had a question it was answered within minutes. We are already planning of return trip!

Amazing property

Absolutely stunning home nestled in a beautiful and serene area. Our family, ranging in ages from one to 65 spent a week here. We would not have had to leave the property. The pool and spa were perfect to spend the day with family. The other nice touches, including pizza, oven, golf chipping area, Theater room, were pleasant additions. Each suite was immaculate and comfortable. The host was extremely responsive. Would 10/10 return for another week.

Best location in the Covenant

This property is fantastic and it was a shame that it was just my husband and I (and our pups). There are so many entertaining options on property from the putting green, to darts, poker table, outdoor entertaining areas, fire pits...it was amazing. The kitchen was also perfectly stocked with every cooking utensil, bowl, small appliance, prep tools you could need. The owners are incredibly nice and very responsive. We will be back!

This is *the place* for an amazing family reunion

We had up to 24 people for our week-long family reunion at this amazing property in Rancho Santa Fe. The pictures don't quite do this place justice - there were so many more amenities than described. The pool and hot tub were great, people *loved* the theatre room and the poker room, the putting green was very nice, and the gym had a pull-up bar, a barbell with plates, dumbbells, and a barre. The fire pit between the two homes was perfect. There's also an outdoor (covered and heated) pool table and dart board. And an outdoor 4-person sauna. We spent the majority of our time in the primary outdoor covered (and heated) space - complete with seating, dining, a wet bar and a TV. We didn't use the pizza oven but we did use the BBQ - also very nice. There are 2 dishwashers and 2 washer/dryers. Also 7 bedrooms (6 with ensuite bathrooms) distributed across 2 houses, plus a bunk room to accommodate more folks. Beds and linens were comfortable, people were very happy. But perhaps what was best was that there was enough SPACE for everyone (key at a family reunion). People could be together or alone and this made the week very enjoyable. The host was very responsive and helpful. Worth every penny.

A perfect get away for a large family!

My wife and I, and our 7 kids with spouses, all had plenty of room and fun at this amazing place. Samantha was very attentive to any questions, and the place's actual layout upon arrival made it even better than we imagined through just viewing the pictures. Whether it was the heated outdoor living area, warm pool, hot spa, playing poker/cards or shooting pool, it was all just perfect for us. I wish we had another week there.

Magical Moments!

We enjoyed our stay at this most amazing home. Comfort, cleanliness, amenities, and accessible communication are a few of the exceptional qualities of this stay. We feel blessed to have the opportunity to be together at such a home that had so much to offer. We swam in a beautiful heated pool/hot tub, cooked in the large stocked kitchen, played cards in the “Game room” and sat by one of the wonderful fireplaces to watch movies. There is something and somewhere to go (for privacy) for everyone. Looking forward to being able to stay here again!

Phenomenal home

Every year family and very close friends get together and choose a destination to visit. We chose the San Diego area for its sunny weather, attractions, beaches and hiking. We were so lucky to have found this secluded beautiful house. The moment we descended down the driveway to the house, it felt like we came home to rest and relax. Felt a positive vibe. Any pictures cannot do justice to this house. You have to be present to see and enjoy all the grandeur this house has to offer. The house’s distinct flavor of the world was a delight. Thank you to host Samantha and Robert for their exceptional communications and responsiveness. Robert was very helpful in guiding us with the outdoor woodfired pizza oven. Pizza night was a blast. We always got a prompt response from hosts any questions we had. By the last day, we felt like we were leaving our own home because we got to stay in the home of a beautiful family. Would definitely recommend this house to anyone coming to San Diego.
