The top floor of the townhouse has 20' high ceilings (not a claustrophobic 9' like many condos), voluminous windows looking on to Aspen and Red Mountains, a 30' x 15' great room with two separate seating areas, a 70” TV and a gas fireplace, an outdoor sundeck, an open dining room for eight, and an oversized kitchen equipped with a Viking range, Sub Zero refrigerator, central food prep island, a 50” TV, and a second deck with a gas grill.
Four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a powder room. The primary bedroom has a king bed, a walk-in closet and a bathroom with two sinks, a private toilet, a Jacuzzi bathtub and a separate shower. The other bedrooms can be configured with a king or two twin beds. Every bedroom has its own TV.
The fourth bedroom can be used as a private office and has a desk, printer, monitor, keyboard and mouse.
There is a garage for your car and ski gear. Two washing machines and two dryers. Two is better than one and certainly better than walking down the hall like most condos!
Our preference is to rent for 30 days or more.
We want our home to be your home away from home.

Beautiful home convenient to all
We loved our stay at 204 East Durant. The townhouse was very clean and the layout was great. You also can’t beat the location! So convenient to skiing, shopping, and restaurants.
Great townhouse -- spacious, clean, and comfortable. Perfect location right in the middle of town (close to mountain, shops, restaurants, bus stops etc.). Ideal for families and groups. We look forward to returning again.

Peter and his family were exemplary guests and took great care of the house. They were easy to communicate with before during and after the rental. We look forward to his family staying with us again.
Perfect home and location to enjoy all downtown Aspen has to offer, walking distance to everything. We will definitely be back.

Kenneth and his friends were ideal guests. He treated the house is if it were his own, he asked to extend his stay and then timely paid for the extra day, and it was a pleasure communicating with him before, duing and after his stay. I hope their travel plans next year will include a visit to Aspen and a stay at our home.
Chris
Chris was very welcoming. You can tell he takes a lot of pride in his home. And it’s warranted—this home is amazing. In terms of location, you can’t beat it. You can walk everywhere in downtown Aspen, and if you want to travel farther, you’re a block or two away from the bus stop (depending on where you want to go). In terms of the home itself, it’s very well kept—the rooms are clean and comfortable, the kitchen can likely accommodate anything you’d ever want to cook and you have multiple washer and dryers. If Chris would have our group back, we’d try to book here first, every year.
This townhouse was the ideal location for an extended stay for our family of 6 adults. With lots of space over 4 floors of living space - with 4 spacious bedroom and even a fully equipped office. It was a perfect space for our family. The location is amazing, with a short walk to town for all the restaurants, a short walk to the Shadow Mountain chairlift and an even shorter walk to the bus stop to Highlands, Buttermilk and Snowmass. We really couldn't ask for a better combination. Chris was an incredible and responsive host. Whenever anything came up, he was easy to communicate with and very responsive. We will definitely be back!

Ilexa and her family were the perfect guests. Ilexa was professional and courteous from the initial inquiry on VRBO, during their stay, and after check out. They were respectful and took great care of the house, as if it were their own. They were understanding of the typical issues that arise during a 2 month rental. Their stay was so easy and pleasant. We look forward to their return if they decide to vacation again in Aspen. If they travel to another destination, you will want them to be your renters.
My family and I stayed in this home for a nice ski vacation. the location couldn't be any better, close to the gondola and bus stops to go to other areas. Restaurants and shopping all within walking distance. We had no need to have a car or worry about parking. (There is a garage and parking if needed though). There was plenty of room for everyone to gather and we all had a spacious room with comfortable beds to sleep in. The owners are very easy to work with and attentive to their guests. We would definitely rent this home again!
We had a great time at this house. The location is perfect, so nice to walk everywhere. Was clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again! The owners were so nice and easy to communicate!
Amazing townhouse in the heart of Aspen, easily walkable to parks, shopping, lifts and nightlife. Very comfortable for a big family and excellent communication with the owners.
Can't beat the size & location for a great Aspen experience
This was the perfect property for an extended stay with family and a friend who helped with babysitting. The Shadow Mountain lift is just up the hill for quick access to Aspen Mountain and the evening walks around town from the location meant the car stayed in the garage unless we were driving to Buttermilk for lessons. The size of the property let everyone enjoy their own space when necessary while allowing the family to eat, watch movies, and enjoy the fireplace before turning in for the night. This was our best stay in Aspen by far and made for great memories.

Darren was THE ideal renter. He treated the house as if it were his own. I hope that he and his family come back to Aspen next year (or any other time!) and stays again. If you ever have a choice of renters, rent to Darren!
Owners are great people. Felt lucky to have them available to handle all matters that came up Ie when aspen gas company had an issue they proactively reached out to make sure we were ok and offer suggestions.

About the host
Hosted by Chris Hansen
We are a family that loves Aspen. We have been coming here since the late 80s (though our father visited Aspen once with his brother in the late 1940s!). This was the primary home for our family and is now a vacation home.
Why they chose this property
This is a rare townhouse in the core of Aspen. Everything is an easy walk: the Gondola and Lift 1, the buses to the other ski areas, all the restaurants, the Isis Movie Theater and the Wheeler Opera House, Paradise Bakery, shopping, Carl's Pharmacy, City Market, the pedestrian malls, Wagner Park, hiking trails, etc. You never need a taxi, but there is a garage if you bring a car. Three generations of our family use the house in the summer, fall, winter and spring months.
What makes this property unique
Location, location, location. You can walk everywhere. See the map in the photos and read the reviews.
Space, space, space. 20' high ceilings--most condos and apartments have low ceilings and feel claustrophobic. Open kitchen and dining room. Very large living area with two seating areas. Large bedrooms and a separate office.
