The house was beautiful and in great condition. Our host Nancy was very accommodating and welcoming. Not too far from Blacksburg and lots of hiking trails around made it a perfect weekend.
This was a fabulous stay! Our family got together for Thanksgiving at this rental and we had a nice time. The house was clean, floors, bathrooms, kitchens, etc. Ms Nancy was super accommodating with check in and out which we greatly appreciated, she answered all my questions and was super quick to respond. We were also able to bring both our dogs which was great! Would definitely stay again!
We had a great stay here while attending a VT football game! The place is very clean and the listing is accurate. The only surprising thing was how close it was to the busy road. Be careful with pets and kids.
Nancy was a proactive and friendly host. The home was extremely clean with nice details throughout.

Nancy is very friendly, responsive, and timely to any needs or questions that may come up. She checked in frequently to make sure our stay was going well and to see if we needed anything...I would not hesitate to recommend Nancy's place!
We had only a few days to book something and luckily happened upon The Pit Stop for a 1 night stay! It’s a very nice place, furnished beautifully, on hwy 460 only 25 minutes from Va. tech. Nancy and family were very friendly and accommodating!
Just a 20 minute drive on a main road to campus. Clean and set up nicely for our short stay with three adults and pup. The accommodations were just right for us and host’s attention to little touches like snacks upon arrival were a very nice surprise. Host was very attentive before and during our stay and I’d recommend you give the “Pit Stop” a look for your visit to the Blacksburg area.
Overall this was a great place to stay. We had 5 adults and a toddler and were comfortable. We brought our Cavachon and he did well too! Host was very responsive and great with work with. Only drawbacks, floors were a little dirty. If there was a regular mop, I would have cleaned the floors! Ants around the sink, and strong odor from someone’s previous pet visit. All manageable and I’d stay there again!

We just needed a place to stay overnight on our travels thru to final destination. The Pit Stop was very cute, cozy, nicely decorated home. There was plenty of space for our family overnight. Owner was very responsive. Home is on a main road, easily accessible to keep traveling. With that being said, there is traffic noise that may disturb some. Also, there is no WiFi, so you if you plan to watch TV you will need to Hotspot from your phone.
Family of 5 in town for an multi year high school reunion in Narrows (15 mins away). Nancy was very responsive, very kind and even had fresh flowers! The description is very accurate.Beds were super comfortable. We all had plenty of space and yes, as noted, it is by the main Hwy (460) so if you are a very light sleeper you may hear large trucks during the night. However, we all grew up in this county and were fine with it. Highly encourage you to hike the beautiful cascades fall (4 miles round trip) which is like 5 mins down the road. the Pit stop was very clean, had all the necessary items. If your are visiting VT and want to get away from the city, Pembroke is only about 20 minutes away. I highly recommend staying here for any reason to be in the area.

A very thoughtful and kind review!
Thankyou so much!
The pit stop was beautiful, right off of 460. The location was actually perfect for a travel volleyball weekend in Blacksburg. 20 mins to just about anything and everything. Nancy was a darling host, she was attentive and caring. She checked in on a regular basis. All of her little touches, were so perfect. We chatted about laundry, though she didn’t have a washer and dryer in the unit she told us where we could go AND left us detergent! We will definitely book again when we’re back in the area. We did try the Mexican restaurant right down the street. That was a chefs kiss of a place as well!
