I also apologize that I wasn’t able to address your concerns while you were here. I did try to be available and would have done everything possible to help had I been given the opportunity. Baltimore can vary block by block, and while the street where the home is located is actively improving, I understand that the wider area may not have been what you were expecting. I truly take pride in ensuring every guest is well taken care of, and I’m very sorry that I was not able to meet your expectations during your stay. This was by far the neediest and most difficult reservation I’ve ever had to manage, and I genuinely tried to address every concern you brought to me. From the day you booked, you called several times—even before arrival—and continued to call every few minutes after check-in. If I had been given a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issues you mentioned in this review, I absolutely would have. Unfortunately, many of the concerns listed here were never communicated to me during the stay. Regarding the temperature: when you first arrived, the thermostat had not been given enough time to warm the house. Any heating system requires more than a few minutes to raise the temperature of an entire home. I suggested turning on the oven temporarily only because you were calling every 2–3 minutes about the heat and I was trying to help you feel comfortable as quickly as possible. As for towels, all guests were provided with them. Had you let me know you needed more, I would have immediately directed you to where additional linens were stored. The layout of the home, including bathroom placement and bed configurations, is accurately described in the listing, and no other guest has ever reported concerns about the trundle or sleeping arrangements. With respect to the rat sightings, I cannot control wildlife in the streets of Baltimore—unfortunately, this is a common city issue and not something occurring inside the home. While I regret that your group did not enjoy the stay, I do appreciate your feedback and will continue working hard to provide a positive experience for future guests. I strive to maintain a welcoming and responsive environment, and I genuinely apologize that I was not able to satisfy you in this instance.
