We LOVED the location of the house. It was perfect to have access to the lake and pool right across the street! The bar was great. We could get picked up by our boat right at the dock. Walking to downtown was easy and the house was a wonderful fit!

What an incredible spot! The house was in good shape, a little outdated in some areas but overall very clean and comfortable and everything worked perfectly. The resort was also really clean and wonderful - having a private beach was awesome! The communication with the ownership was clear and responsive. Overall a great stay!

We had an amazing stay! The home is a little older and the upstairs stairs are definitely steep, but beyond that it was perfection. The giant sunroom and deck overlooking the lake were absolutely incredible—we spent so much time there soaking up the views. Having access to the Akwa Marina club was such a fun bonus, and the location couldn’t have been better. It was an easy walk downtown to enjoy the arcade, bars, restaurants, and more. We’d come back in a heartbeat! Owner/manager was great to work with, as well - quick to respond and very helpful when we asked for some recommendations on renting a boat.

We really enjoyed our stay at the lake house. It was great that we could walk across the street to the beach and enjoy the amenities of the Akwa Marina and Beach Club. The house was set up well and had AC throughout. We would definitely stay there again as it had a New England rustic charm.

Great place

We enjoyed our stay, it was a rainy week, so we spend a lot of time inside. The house was spacious and the veranda was great for family meals. We also appreciated the access to the marina installations. The only negative point is the train that goes by a couple times a day, which can wake a young child during nap time. We would stay again.

Amazing property and location

We loved our stay. The house was perfect and the beach and pool at the yacht club we had access too was beautiful. Communication was timely and very friendly. We blew a fuse and someone came right over to fix it. The screeened in porch was perfect for night time card games. Weirs Beach was a 5 minute walk which was so convenient- loved our vacation - will definitely be back!!!

Misleading

This property is nothing like what the pictures show. The staircase is dangerous the bedrooms are terrible. There is not even enough room for a nightstand next to the bed. The location is across the street from the pictures you see online. So all in all very misleading.

I am sorry you felt mislead. I wish you said something last year when you stayed in the property so we could have spoken to you directly about it. You waited nearly a full year after your stay to post this review. Our goal is for all our guests to have a 5-star experience. You will notice in the photos and the property description that the house is clearly shown across the street from the beach club.  The house is not represented as a waterfront or inside the beach club. The house is an older home and the staircase is narrow, I would not consider it any more dangerous than any other staircase.  The photos of the bedrooms on the listing are accurate and up to date. The photos of the beach club are also accurate. I would point anyone who is interested in staying to check out our other reviews and look at the photos and the map, that are in the listing.

Vacation with teens and their friends

The house is directly across the street from the marina resort which is super convenient. As stated in the description, the food and drinks at the beach bar are excellent. If you want to rent a boat or jet skis make sure to do that before you arrive because they sell out. The pool area is wonderful.

Mostly everything was great but I can’t give 5 stars due to the following: We arrived late, The lights outdoors on the staircase were not working and it was dark. The TV is very slow and old fashioned. Internet password too long. Some lights in the kitchen and bathrooms are not working Frying Teflon pans in the Kitchen are too scratched and need to be Replaced because Teflon is toxic if it comes out of the pan. Location is great, Bach club is excellent, House is clean and comfortable.

Clean, spacious, adequate parking for multiple vehicles. Walking distance to Weirs Beach. I rated accuracy of listing as 4 stars only because it looked like from the pictures that it was located on the beach side of the road when it is located on the other side of the road. Overall a great find.
