Great location and beautiful grounds!

Excellent and easy communication with the property manager! Great location near Fort Zachary Taylor and not from Duval Street. Property had everything we needed! Master bedroom mattress could be updated to a new king bed instead of two older twins put together.

My only complaint is there was absolutely no wiggle room on check out time and no option for keeping luggage prior to flying out. Wasted a half a day due to this inflexibility. Otherwise, perfect!

Peaceful location

This condo is in the "Shipyard" in Truman Annex and was a nice quiet location. Complex had a mixture of owners and renters and a friendly ambience. The condo itself had all that you would need for a nice stay, was very clean and the manager was responsive to any requests. As mentioned by others, the master bed is a little quirky, two twins put together. Not a problem in general, but I always find it amusing what some property owners choose to save a buck on. Having said that, we would stay here again. Close to Ft Zach and Old Town.

The deck was very dirty. Walls and floors were dirty. Toilet was loose and rocking. Dirty doors and broken tile. Broken tile in bathroom leaves thoughts of germs. Termite wings on floor in bathroom.

Hello Mary, I am sorry for the confusion, the contract states check in time and my email with the lock box information, state that keys will be in the lock box at 4:00 which is check in time. We do not have an office on site because we manage properties all over the island. Our main office is approximately .8 miles from the property. I am glad to hear you you had a pleasant stay and hope to see you all again soon.

Great location

The location is perfect for walking to many places on the island. The place was clean and had plenty of towels. The washer and dryer were new and very nice. The hairdryer only works on low and needs replaced. The king sized bed was two twins pushed together and definitely needs replaced. The room with the king bed doesn’t have much privacy from the living room when others are awake and you want to sleep. There is a super sweet cat next door named Teddy that visited us nearly every time we were coming and going. All communication and questions were answered in a timely manner. VRBO did nothing other than link us to this key west property management company. I do wish I would have gone directly to them to save money, however, we enjoyed our stay though and would rent again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed at Shipyard 197 for a week in March. Key West is both tropical and urban--you can walk or ride a bike everywhere. The location of this condo in the Truman Annex is fantastic. It's two blocks from the shops, restaurants, and bars; but it's perfectly quiet at night. You can easily walk anywhere in Old Town from the condo. The unit itself was clean and comfortable. It's not huge, but the two bedrooms/one bath worked well. The best part of the condo is the private, shady backyard/deck. Did I mention that the weather was perfect? Upper 70s, light breeze. The pool at Truman Annex was clean and nice, though there were times when the leathery old people crowded the pool a bit. Last note: head out to the sunset every night. We split our sunsets between Mallory Square (circus acts, buskers, excitement) and Fort Zach park (costs 7 bucks to drive in, but the view of the sunset and the boats was better).
