Beautiful scenery!
Had a wonderful time at this lakefront cottage. The cottage was super clean and well stocked with pantry items. I was very impressed with the amenities that were included. Fishing, kyacking and peddle boating equipment were on hand to use. Neighbors were very friendly and helpful. My family rented just a few houses down from us so we had a wonderful family time with a picnic and campfire on our last night. Would definetly come back again! Thank you Pamela for such a CLEAN cozy cottage!
My family and I had a wonderful stay at this house around the pond. Very Walden-esque. Great amenities, including a canoe, rowboat and a fun paddle boat. Check-in and check-out were easy with easy communication with the property owner. Thanks for the wonderful stay!
My granddaughters (aged 10 and 14,) and I had a wonderful time at the cottage. It is very clean, and very well stocked. The girls especially enjoyed the paddle boats. We visited the Aquarium, the town of Mystic, as well as the Mystic shopping village. The host was wonderful.
Three of my girl friends and I flew in from Florida for a weekend to attend a surprise 50th birthday in Mystic on Saturday night. We stayed at the cottage Friday through Sunday. It was the perfect spot for old friends to unwind, make meals together and enjoy a little time on the lake. If you are looking for fancy and modern, this isn’t it, but it had everything you could want or need. It was exactly what I was looking for as a former New Englander. It reminded me of my aunt and uncle’s lakefront cottage where I spent many weeks of my childhood. I enjoyed it so much. We loved having an outdoor fire in the pit and sat there many hours sipping wine and eating s’mores. Book it for a week or e weekend, you won’t be disappointed! Oh and Pam was awesome! Thanks Pam!
My sister and I were looking for some place where we could re-connect, relax and recreate! The place on Long Pond was just what we needed! We kayaked every day, read, walked, and enjoyed the beautiful setting.
Such a pleasant surprise! The pictures do not give it justice. Super clean, so pretty & comfortable. My 2 17-yo boys loved it, so... That says a lot!!
Quiet inlet on the lake.
Can't wait to go back!
Beautiful peaceful relaxing very well equipment place.A+Owner and property highly recommended
Boating, fishing ,exploring ,enjoying ,relaxing and FUN😃
If you looking for this - you not going to be disappointed.Very well equipped inside and outside. The owner Pam is welcoming ,she always care and communicative to make sure everything is ok.Thank you so much for our great stay at you such a amazing and cute lake house🥰
My family visited Camp Albodot with our 2 year-old son, and found this to be a perfect getaway spot. It instantly felt like home, with attention paid to every detail imaginable. We quickly learned that if there was something we needed (flashlight, bug spray, marshmallow stick, cards, ketchup, you name it...), we could find it in the house.
We visited during a heatwave, and the window air conditioners kept the house cool and comfortable. We enjoyed watching the rain from the screened in porch, roasting hot dogs and s'mores on the campfire, and enjoying the peaceful lake view. Our toddler especially enjoyed the 4 different boating options and the fish that congregate around the dock. He keeps asking to go back to the "lake house."
Overall, we had an awesome and relaxing experience, and could not have hoped for a better place to spend quality family time. Highly recommended!
This cottage is quaint and very homey feeling.
I recommend sleeping on the porch if you have a nice breeze. I only got to enjoy it out there for one night because my friend coveted it.
But the bed in the other room where the air conditioner is in is very comfortable which is always important when staying anywhere.
Our hostess Pam, was very easy to communicate with and she gracefully allowed us some flexibility with our arrival date which was very much appreciated.
I will be back again. :)
We stayed at the property in early June and it was simply beautiful! Super clean and charming, the lake was stunning and they had a variety of boats. We also hit the casino one night it’s under 10 minutes away. Perfect spot and location, we plan to go back ASAP.
The cottage was very clean and cozy. This place has very romantic views of the water and is perfect for couples to enjoy time together. We come as a family of 4. Unfortunately we didn’t have sun and hot weather to be able to use the lake. The lake it come out to be a pond and there where a lot of plants in the water so our children didn’t want to swim at all. There are floats and boat’s to use but our main point of visiting the front lake cottage was to swim and jump into the water but As I said first the weather was not good and the lake is not clean to swim. After all we went to the farm and kids had fun with farm animals.
Lovely well kept home & lake views. Comfortable bed. One safety concern: steps from LR/BR to kit & kit to bath. Yellow paint/day glow tape could help prevent stumbling/tripping as was our experience.
Fun and enjoyable for all ages. Everyone loved swimming, floating in the tubes, kayaking, and exploring. Great time with family and we would love to do it again!
Myself and a group of friends spent the weekend at Pam’s cottage on the lake and had a fantastic time! The location is peaceful, neighbors were kind and friendly and accommodations were perfect. Thank you for hosting us!
The house and grounds were immaculate and exactly as stated/shown. We enjoyed the boats and floats and swimming as well as sitting outside and enjoying the view. It was a wonderful family getaway!
We had a great time! The cabin was lovely, super clean and well equipped.
Pam was really communicative.
It's small, but it was so nice out that we spent most of our time outside anyway.
We had a wonderful time at Camp Albodot! It was just the retreat we needed. We took the canoe and paddle boats out on the lake and floated around in peace for hours. We made a fire and grilled every night, and spent lots of time on the dock looking out at the gorgeous lake. The camp is charming, cozy and has everything you need. Pam was a great host, and the place was perfect when we arrived. The neighbors were extremely friendly. It's a very special place, and we'll definitely go back!
We are a lovely time at the cottage. It reminded me of my childhood family cabin but much cleaner and functional! Our kids loved the water and swam everyday. The view was beautiful and we enjoyed the outdoors, seafood and local sights. Only wish we were able to stay longer!
My family and I had the best time ever. Pam was a wonderful Hostess! She was friendly, easily accessible and so accommodating. Everything we needed was supplied and MORE to make it a perfect vacation spot… cute rustic cabin on a lake that had great swimming and fishing, with 4 boats (including life vests), floats, fishing poles, grills, firepit, chairs, outdoor tables, with plenty of parking, far away from the hectic life and yet easily accessible to restaurants and stores . It was super having the little farm stand with fresh eggs, and vegetables close by too. This was one of our best vacations ever. Oh and as an FYI, I read another review about someone mentioning weeds in the lake which kind of concerned me, but having grown up as a native of New England and moving west in my mid 20’s, I found the lake was actually very clean and nice. Plant growth is common in lakes, and the fish need it to eat and etc. If you’re expecting pool clean, you’ll be disappointed, but if you’re familiar with lake life, you will NOT be disappointed, and will find it to be better than what is typical.
