Great place to stay! We were in town for the weekend to go to an Iowa football game - close enough to walk downtown and to kinnick, easy parking, and great communication!

Hi Tory,
Thank you so much for your kind review! I’m glad you enjoyed your stay and that the location worked out so well for the football game and exploring downtown. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we’d be happy to welcome you back anytime!
Best,

House location is an easy 1 mile walk to campus. The garden was incredible with a cozy fire pit where we had a nice Fall evening. Automatic Espresso maker made the mornings even better. Bed was nice and comfy. Kids said they slept well on the pull out sofa bed upstairs
We had a great time and the place is very unique and nice..my only complaint would be not enough stuff in the kitchen, no can opener, cheese grater, spatula, potato masher ect...we bought a can opener and potato masher and left it there for future guests.
This is an interesting property. Look carefully at the photos to decide if you like rustic style with European appliances. We think it’s fun to experience something a little different. Although there is a bedroom on the first floor, the only cozy soft chairs to sit on are up the spiral stairs - tricky if you are older or have mobility issues. We enjoyed a sunny afternoon in the wonderful garden, prepared an excellent meal in the kitchen, and slept soundly in the quiet neighborhood. The host, Petra, is very considerate and responsive. We had some trouble figuring out the appliances and she helped us immediately. Chase, the owner’s dog, is sweet and friendly and gentle. We liked visiting him but Petra would have kept him away if we weren’t happy to see him. We recommend this property
