Lovely house, plenty of room to spread out . Multiple spaces to hangout in. Great for a large family gathering. First time at lake Anna would definitely rent again. Owners were very accommodating
House overlooks a beautiful lake and easy walk to a private beach. Amenities excellent and the kitchen was well equipped. The movie theater was a plus as well as the hot tub. We want to rent this same house during Labor Day weekend next year.
We stayed at this lake house with a large group, and the property itself suited our needs very well. There was plenty of room for everyone to comfortably stay, and we really enjoyed our time on the lake once we got settled. Our experience was significantly impacted by poor communication with the host/management company. It took a long time to figure out how to access the kayaks and stand-up paddle-board because we couldn't get a prompt response. Later in our stay, the property lost power. There was no backup generator, flashlights, or emergency equipment on-site to help navigate the outage and we were without power for 10 hours. When I went to follow up, they have continued to be unresponsive. The location and house are wonderful but some of the communication with the management company was and has been a challenge.
We had a fabulous time. The house is fantastic, the renovation was really well done. We especially loved the screened-in porch with the big table and ate all our meals out there. The theatre room was another favorite for all ages. The cove was quiet and the water was perfect. There was always someone out on the SUPs and kayak, they were a huge bonus. We had a lot of fishermen with us and they had great luck also. We were the first rental, so there were a few glitches. However, the owners were incredibly responsive and everything was taken care of immediately. It was truly impressive and we were thrilled. Highly recommend!
Overall great experience. Property has a bunch to stay busy. It’s a little bit of a walk to the lake beach front but it feels secluded from the close neighbors which is nice. Everything was a breeze and as described by the listing. Note there is no dock, just the beach, but it was easy enough to get close with the rental boat.It did seem like some things were still works in progress with paint cans in closets, DIY tools laying around in some closets and bathrooms, and some unfinished trim/painting. Only recommendation would be more outdoor light on the deck stairs. Can get very dark at night.
15 of us spent a week here & truly enjoyed ourselves, 8 adults & 7 children. The size of the house was perfect, many separate areas for small groups & a large area where the whole family could gather. Kids loved the yard & fire pit, movie room was a big hit & a short walk to the lake. We all enjoyed the screened in porch for games & late evening gathering. There were clean linens for each bed & bathroom & plenty of hot water. However, we were disappointed with the condition of many items. For the cost of the weekly rental, we expected better:Exterior: terribly dirty windows, cobwebs, missing screensDishwasher not secured & washes poorlyKitchen faucet & 2nd fl main bath faucet need securingWiFi was problematicPowder rm door lock broken, automatically locking when closedCeiling light in WC of the 1st fl bed is dimFan remotes in either 1st or 2nd floor left bedrooms affect the fan in the other bedroomCeiling fan in the rt 2nd fl bed is inoperableBasement faucets leakBasement French door weatherstripping is coming offNo ironing boardOne screen door on the porch gets stuck openDisappointingly, the adorable little bunk bed room is a pass through to the attic. Littles were disturbed by olders passing to/from the attic space.Attic space is a great idea, but is infested with SWARMING flying insects, sometimes even invading kids’ beds.Property has great potential & would love to give the highest rating, but I can’t based on these issues. Most can be fixed by handyman.
