This was a wonderful place for my family to land for a relaxing week by the lake. The beds were comfy, the view was beautiful, the kitchen well stocked with gear, and the home is well cared for with thoughtful touches like sparkling water waiting in the fridge for us. There are just a few notes I'll leave for future travelers awareness - 1. As is mentioned in the listing description, the house is split between the upper two levels (main house, where we stayed) and the lower level, which is rented separately. The grill, which is a shared amenity, is on the deck of the lower level, so in the space of the person who is renting that area. Not necessarily a problem, but a little awkward. Also there were no grilling tools. We alerted the management of this, and they offered to bring some over for us, but at that point we'd figured it out well enough. Maybe just something to check in about.2. The walk down to the lake is fairly uneven in places, with handrails that aren't sturdy in parts. Also, the step from the shore to the dock is sloped and a little tricky (for me; my husband and his long legs did find with it). If you aren't steady on your feet, getting down and back might not be safe.3. The loft bed gets really hot. There's no fan in that room, so all the hot air gets trapped up there. My son wound up sleeping on the daybed in the main bedroom for the last few nights of our stay. All in all, a wonderful place that we would definitely rent again!
