We guarantee the most beautiful sunset of Florida in shiny colors and with the best view, you will ever have.

Our "Fishermen´s Paradise" is located just a few minutes away from the Gulf of Mexico. The house has direct access to the water with its own landing stage. The spectacular view to the west won´t let you spend your evenings somewhere else. The building complex is characteristic of Matlacha - a colorful and creatively decorated accommodation with a fresh touch and lovingly attached details.

The "Fisherman´s Paradise" consists of 5 small and adorable studios. Each studio offers a queen-size bed, an eat-in kitchen, and its own shower bath. In the kitchen, you will find a microwave and 2 induction hotplates.
A community washing machine and dryer are also available as well as many different seating groups in the spacious outside area.

Look forward to spending nice evenings on the terrace.

A birthday get away

Quiet Getaway

I spent a long weekend in Matlacha visiting my brother who lives in Cape Coral. Grouper Room was perfect for me since I was traveling alone alone.I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

Hurricane Helene

We had a great accommodations at both properties. Hurricane Helene came in while we were there. The communication was great and we were moved to another property. Matlacha was our favorite though. Loved the little cottage on the water!

We enjoyed our getaway in Matlacha.Property manager Charity was pleasant and helpful. Our unit was the smallest and we would probably get a larger one next time but it had everything we needed. The place is a fishermans paradise with all equipment available including boat right outside your door . Easy walk to shops and restaurants.

We had a great stay in the grouper room! The room is small but had everything we needed. The kitchenette was well stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed the short walk to the coffee shop every morning! The property is very clean and it was so nice relaxing on the back deck every evening. Charming and beautiful studio

Our stay at Marco and Martina's place was absolutely wonderful! The space was perfect for two people, cutely decorated, clean and equipped with all you needed. They did a wonderful job renovating after such horrible destruction from the hurricane and their hard work has definitely paid off. The outside area of the apartments is great with plenty of places to hang out and look at the beautiful waterway. The surrounding area is equally as cute with easy access to larger towns and beaches. The hosts were easy to communicate with throughout the whole process and it was a pleasure to meet them at their reopening celebration. They were extremely kind, friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend staying here :)

Just what we we’re looking for!!

My wife and I were hoping to find a destination for peace and relaxation, somewhere and something different than we had chosen in the past and boy did we find it! Matlacha was delightful, colorful, and fun. We absolutely loved the Grouper Room. It was small, cozy, clean, cute, adorable, and right on the water. It is in the front of a small one story fourplex, but it doesn’t seem crowded, in fact in our seven days we rarely saw other guest. The parking provides easy access to your cottage and the feel is extremely safe. The owners have provided everything you need for a fantastic stay except you and your groceries. There are fishing poles, kayaks, stand up boards, and even a pontoon boat to be rented if you choose. There is also laundry facilities onsite. Only two suggestions we would have, it would be nice to have two pillows per guest and although there are hanging blinds, it would be nice to have curtains over the blinds to provide more shade and privacy. In closing we have had a FANTASTIC stay in the Grouper Room and highly recommend it for someone looking for clean, cozy, and fun accommodations.

Marvelous Matlacha

Grouper is for the minimalist. We are active so it suited us. All was clean but could use a little updating. The cottage is functional and well located. Pine Island a short drive and Sanibel would be a day trip. The bath was small but sufficient with plenty of warm water and water pressure. The kitchen had everything you could need to cook for yourselves or just keep desirable items on hand. The bed was very comfortable and there was enough storage space overall to keep the few items you might need on hand. Attractively designed and colorfully decorated it more than satisfied our needs. In addition the dock space was generous. Enough space to chat with neighbors or read in the corner. We used the grill but brought all our own toys although there were plenty of various boats, PFD’s and fishing poles. The washer and dryer were a big plus and efficient too. The neighborhood is quiet and great for a walk or bike ride. There is a community park nearby, that’s a terrific plus. Perfect Cup and Blue Dog were our go-to when we did eat out. I believe our favorite thing was the sunsets on the dock around 7:30 each evening. Will return and maybe try out Red Fish, which is on the canal side of the building.

Everything was as described. A small, very clean and tidy unit. All communications were excellent. All the necessities for cooking your own meals. Loved the location on the canal, with walking distance to all shops and restaurants. Would stay again if in the area.

We got off to a bumpy start with some smoke detector issues but those were resolved. Loved the location. The dock out back was just right. The unit was a bit small for us. One of the other ones would have been better. Met some nice people.
