Country House & Spa - Inside Nature with panoramic views, Art Surrounded

Villanovia is a conservative restoration example of a historic Tuscan farmhouse: it is preserved rustic and original but modernly equipped.
You can enjoy the swimming pool as well relax at hot tub/Jacuzzi; you have the comfort of the air condition and the Internet wifi connection.
Its distinctive special character provides a cozy and warm atmosphere.

The house provides 700sm of internal living accommodation (exclusive rental) and 37 acres of private land.
Uniquely located on a hilltop inside the natural park of Berignone, overlooking the Cecina valley, the cities of Volterra and Pomarance, the Metallic Hills and Larderello, with the visible geothermal vapors.
Villanovia is off the beaten tracks and worth the 4 Km gravel-road drive, that will take you to our relaxed and far-from-it-all country house (could be bumpy if you have a sportcar - as suggested by a recent guest).

Staying in our property will offer you a 360° view over unspoiled Tuscany, its history and hills. And you and your family will feel at home !

The house sleeps 20+ (extra beds/futon and + 3 cots are available) in large and comfortable rooms or cosy apartments equipped with a private kitchen corner.

The 16th century groundfloor entrance (all in stone) is the most ancient part of the house. Here you have a sofa area with satellite TV and indoor stairs to the upper floor where 6 accommodations are located, as well as a terrace overlooking Volterra.

Perfectly located for total relax vacation, at the same time offers short rides to the cities of Volterra (9Km), Pisa, Siena (about 60Km each), San Gimignano and Florence, as well as the Etruscan Coast beaches (45Km). A large kitchen and an impressive 170sm stone-walls living room with original brick arches complete the property.
Panoramic swimming pool is 5x12, fenced for children' safety.
Our premium service is the interior stylish room with bubble pool, refreshing and relaxing. It is inspired to the Etruscan thermal springs environment, in rustic murble and stone. EV charge is also available.

Fantastic property

We stayed in this beautiful villa with a big group of over 20 adults and kids, and it was perfect. The house is spacious, maintained well, with beautiful views of the hills and vineyards all around. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out, both indoors and out.The pool was a major highlight. The outdoor dining area was ideal for long group meals, and the kids enjoyed exploring the grounds while the adults relaxed and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings.Our host, Marco, was very thoughtful and quick to respond to anything we needed. We’ll have a lot of special memories from our week at this villa. Highly recommend for large groups looking to enjoy the best of Tuscany together.

Great stay!

We had a very nice stay at Villanovia. The house offers everything what you need: lots of space for a big group, a pool, jacuzzi, table tennis, fusball/kicker, lots of different sitting areas, … Every room has their own bathroom. We can recommend to have the pizze cook come over - great experience! Delicious! Volterra is about a half hour drive away. We can recommend this place!

Words can not even describe the perfection about our stay with all our friends and family. Communication with Laura to organize everything at a distance was great, and Marco was lovely and so kind to answer all our requests during the week! They recommended vendors for our wedding and it was wonderful. The food and service was great. There was so many places to enjoy the beauty of Tuscany. Everyone had a private bathroom and air conditionning. The rooms are comfortable. The kitchen is bigger than we thought and worked perfectly for our big group (however we did not really cook haha). Thank you for everything!!!

Perfect location for family holidays

We (12 adults and 1 child) had perfect holidays in this spacious house. We enjoyed the roomy and well equipped kitchen, the pool and the hot tub as well as the ample possibilities to eat inside or outside of the house. The owners gave us nice tips for restaurants around the location. A highlight was the vegetarian buffet we ordered for the last evening - we all could barely walk so much did we eat. We highly recommend this location, it is quiet, well maintained and staff and owner are very friendly. K

Spacious house in nature

The place is in the middle of a huge green area, ideal for those who want peace and quiet location. We were in group of 19 and there was plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable. Marco, the owner, is very attentive to all details and always around to help. House ammenities were a plus for those rainy days when we could not visit sorrounding Tuscan cities.

Panoramic Villa with breathtaking views

This property is in free heart of rural countryside and as it states, the last few miles are a dirt track. However, the property and views are worth it. Superbly equipped kitchen , lots of seating areas to appreciate the views . Beautiful sunrise and sunsets. Only 35 mins to Volterra. Recommend a car with good tyres.

The property and the owners exceeded all expectations. We hosted our wedding at the venue and housed all 16 guests. The house comfortably accomodated everyone with enough indoor and outdoor space to be comfortably spread out.The views are breathtaking and we spent multiple evening sitting under the pergola or in the hot tub watching the lightning storms roll theough the mountains. The hosts did a great job arranging the outdoor areas to take advantage of all of the natural beauty of the property.Marco and his family were unbelieveably accomodating hosts, going far above and beyond what we expected. We also booked the hosts catering partner for our wedding dinner, a pasta class, and a pizza night; Consuelo and her family were absolutely amazing and their cooking is lights-out. Beware though, like all italian chefs, they will make sure you have enough leftovers to feed a small army.To sum up our experience, this property including the hosts and the catering vedors were great! I woukd reccomend this to anyone and look forward to returning in the future!

Breathtaking countryside location

We were a group of 12 women and found Villanovia to be the perfect place. Some of our favorite things about Villanovia *panoramic views from all sides of the property *multple ourdoor seating areas, both for relaxing & dining/games *each bedroom/apartment has its own bathroom We had the villa chef, Mama Toscano, prepare 2 meals (pizza & Lasagna) and did a ravioli pasta making class. We loved the food and the cooking experience. We do not speak Italian so had a use google translate when needed, but it all went very smoothly. Before i booked the villa i had read other reviews about the road getting to the villa. It is a gravel road that is pretty rough/bumpy in places but we had no issues driving our cars on these roads. Just slow down, take your time and enjoy the amazing views. I would definitely return to Villanovia!

Wonderful property!

While the house is located far out in the Tuscan country side down a gravel road (closest small town is 15 away), it's location within Tuscany is unbeatable - 90 min from Florence, 25 min from Volterra - and Siena, San Gimingnano, Pisa/Lucca, wineries, beaches in between. The location is so peaceful and beautiful - bring bug spray for the mosquitos! A small price to pay for the views. Laura and Marco were very responsive and helpful. The place was spotless. Consuela and her family (Dominque is so sweet!) were AMAZING cooks - I would recommend doing the chef meals. One item of note - the 3 downstairs suites (Carraia, Mugnaia, and Volterrana) are only accessible from outside the villa - which is fine, we just didn't expect that. And Carraia does not have it's own kitchen, but it right next to a door to the house. Each room having it's own bathroom was a huge plus for our large group. I would recommend anyone to stay here!

Simply wonderful

The villa and the surroundings were beautiful. We were three families and there was plenty to do for everyone. A swimming pool with a beautiful view, table tennis, football table and a jaquzzi. The drive to the villa was beautiful despite the 4.5km dirt road. It was well worth it. Reception by a very friendly manager, who was also the chef, went well. (despite the language barrier). She cooked for us one evening which was really delicious and another evening she brought food. Highly recommended!!! The house and all the room were beautiful. It was nice that everyone had their own bathroom. The large common area was lovely, as was the spacious fully equipped kitchen. Contact with the owner was very good via Whatsapp and they were very helpful. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the house and the beautiful view. Thanks Laura and maybe see you in the future.

Never-ending views and birds singing.

Celebrated a big birthday with my family members and friends at Villanovia. We were a total of 24 ranging in age from 6 to 74 spending 11 fabulous days in perfect peace and harmony. The house lends itself to big groups and felt in fact empty when we were only 18 the last couple of days. Situated at the end of a scenic "driveway" (was technically not our driveway but felt like it) the house perch, like many Tuscan structures do, on a hill with 360 degree views with not a man-made sound to be heard, utter bliss to a city dweller. The house itself is kept in impeccable condition and is fully equipped. The owner was in the area for work the first 4 days and stayed at their separate house on the property. He was very helpful, friendly and full of information about the area. I would definately go back and my brother and his family is already planning on returning next summer. Camilla

The PERFECT Getaway!

My wife and I found and booked this house for our family and friends to join us for a celebration, and not one part of our experience was disappointing. We showed up late Friday night after a longer day of travel than expected, and we had people at the house waiting for us. They were very gracious and kind and I was communicated with the entire way. I was given a tour of the house and grounds and then we settled in. The house itself is huge and absolutely gorgeous. It’s a picturesque home with plenty of room and amenities. The following morning we got to see the unbelievable views surrounding the house and were shocked with the beauty. We had booked a dinner in house with the owners (which was an added cost) and it was such a great experience. The team that cooked was perfect and made us an amazing meal for our celebration. As for location we had a lot of options. There was a full grocery store about 25 minutes away in Volterra. Volterra also has a lot of shopping restaurants, and options. We drove to Cecina to the beach in about an hour, and up to Pisa in about 100 minutes. Florence is also only 90 minutes away. Overall, our entire experience was amazing. The owners communicated and answered all questions and gave us everything we needed to enjoy our trip. We were so happy with the entire experience and would definitely come back here. Grazie mille!!

Perfekte Unterkunft im Herzen der Toskana

Unser Aufenthalt war eine 11 von 10! Das Haus ist riesig, in schönem rustikalem Stil mit vielen Möglichkeiten zum Sitzen und zusammen sein. Es handelt sich um das letzte Haus, welches nach einer langen Straße kommt. Somit hat man seine Ruhe, man hört nichts außer Vögel und Grillen, die Aussicht ist atemberaubend mit Sonnenuntergang direkt hinter dem Haus. Zu beachten ist, dass man ca. 1 1/2 Stunden unterwegs zum Einkaufen ist, da die Schotterstraße ziemlich lang ist und man dort nicht so schnell fahren kann. Es bietet sich also an, die Köche mitzubuchen. Auf jeden Fall braucht man ein Auto! Wir haben den Pizza Abend gebucht und es war perfekt! Unglaublich leckere Pizza, keine Arbeit und man konnte einfach die Zeit mit allen genießen. Jedes Zimmer hat ein eigenes Badezimmer und das Haus ist wirklich beeindruckend und umgeben von gepflegten und sauberen Grasflächen und Olivenbaumfeldern. Dear Katharina, many thx for you warm words. Just a clarification for future guests, the closest supermarket is in Volterra at 10km (5km in gravel road). In the last weeks there were closed roads in Volterra for spring heavy rain. Usually in 20-25 minutes you arrive at supermarket.

Ist eine Empfehlung wert – Teil 1

Wir waren 17 Erwachsene und 10 Kinder (1-10 Jahre alt), Familien und Single, ging für uns sehr gut auf mit der Zimmereinteilung. Für eine bessere Übersicht der Zimmer, haben mir die Vermieter einen übersichtsplan als PDF zukommen lassen. Lage: Das Anwesen ist mit einer Fahrt von ca. 15min Schotter-/Feldweg nicht ganz so komfortabel zu erreichen, was aber auch ein kleines Abenteuer sein kann. Hohe Bodenfreiheit ist von Vorteil, ein Tesla Modell 3 hats aber auch geschafft (kratzte jedoch schon mal am Unterboden). Zur Belohnung gibt es dafür dann eine Fantastische Aussicht von dem Anwesen. Umgebung: Die ist Top, gut gepflegt, Rassen geschnitten, Pool sauber. Diverse Rückzugsorte, da sollte jeder seine Ruhe finden, auch mit 10 Kinder. Anwesen ist grosszügig eingezäunt, unteranderem wegen Wildtieren. Joggen kann zur Tortur werden, sobald du schwitzt und über den Schotterweg läufst, begrüssen dich die Brämen. Also besser lassen und im Pool ein paar Bahnen ziehen. Auch begrüssten uns Täglich die Wespen, sobald was Feines draussen auf dem Tisch stand. Die Bienen hingegen, waren meist nur um den Pool herum um Wasser zu trinken. Den einen und anderen Stich mussten wir hinnehmen, im Großen und Ganzen hatten wir aber wenig Probleme mit den Insekten. Alternativ kann auch drinnen gegessen werden.
