This is really a special property on a very special island. While not perfect it has so much going for it and I find myself daydreaming about it. The view is really spectacular, readily visible from every room, with plenty of outdoor space from which to enjoy it. I would start and end my days sitting outside looking at Lower Bay and Princess Margaret beach. Truly an unforgettable view.The great - stunning views, friendly and responsive caretaker, consistent hot water and water pressure, renovated bathrooms, well-stocked kitchen and walkable to Lower Bay beach (up/down a very steep hill but worth it for the views). The property was CLEAN and organized when we arrived. The hilltop location means strong cooling breezes to keep us cool all day and night. The OK - some very friendly but sometimes noisy neighborhood dogs. They would occasionally visit and could be loud for about 10 mins at night. Not a deterrent but good to be aware of. The kitchen could use a new set of pans and knives but was otherwise very well-stocked and we cooked many meals during our week stay. The downstairs bedrooms are cosy and the double bed may be more comfortable for 1 person vs 2 which is what we envisioned (we made it work though). Special note - those jaw dropping views come with a very steep hill. For a lift call Brendon's Taxi who's truck can make it up the hills no problem.
