Shelbyville Farm studio close to hiking, horses, Kentucky derby and distillery’s

Beautiful location on a working family farm. This cozy one bedroom studio is equipped with a comfortable queen bed, luxurious pillows and bedding. Twin rollaway is available if needed for children or additional guest. Night stand charging stations and lights, dinner table is large enough for 4 guest or to work remotely. Independent unlimited stable internet provided. Kitchen is stocked with a microwave, mini fridge/freezer, hot plate, electric skillet, pots/pans, crockpot and toaster. Also has a keurig coffee pot, variety of coffee pods, creamers and teas. These is also a 5 burner grill w side burner for outdoor cooking.

Guest can enjoy the fire pit, sitting down on the dock watching the sunset or roaming the farm interacting with the variety of sweet farm animals. There are horses, cows/calves, goats and chickens. No onsite fishing allowed. There is daily milking where you are welcome to observe, fresh milk/eggs available for additional cost to purchase directly from the farm.
You won’t be disappointed with yourself stay. We always want guest to have the best experience possible so reach out! ****unit is within close proximity to main home. However, your privacy is respected during your stay.

Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights
Trash and food to dumpster
Empty dehumidifier into tub and turn ac to 78 or heat to 60
Wash any dishes used and put on drying rack
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Do not enter any stalls, pastures, livestock enclosures, climb on/over/under and fence, on/under any equipment or enter any building. No fishing
Do not feed any animal on property. If you do and animal becomes ill you will be billed for veterinary care or value of animal.
Upon entering the main gate speed limit is 5 mph. No cooking fish or curry. Breaking any rules is grounds for immediate termination of reservation.

The place was perfect for my wife and I who were there to visit the Kentucky Renaissance Festival. Plus it's not far from Main Street Louisville where many of the bourbon distilleries are located. Sarah was a great host with some great dining recommendations, and the farm was a fun location with all the chickens, horses, cows, and other animals. We will definitely stay there again!

Absolutely an excellent property if you are looking for a true Kentucky gem situated between Louisville and Frankfort… Derby, Bourbon Trail, Farm Tours… all nearby. Sarah was very accommodating and showed us all around her property including snuggles with cows and horses. Adorable cottage. Highly recommend.

Sarah is a great host! Even on her own vacation she communicated with us and checked in on our stay. The horses are friendly and we were able to feed them some carrots. There are milking cows and chickens in the farm and you might find a stray egg! We even got a small taste of raw milk from the cows. It was a great location between the distilleries in Lexington and Louisville. Highly recommend the Farm Kitchen for breakfast. We went two days because it was so good.
