We enjoyed our stay very much. It's a spectacular property, convenient to everything, Short drive to town, can walk to one beach, easy drive to others. Much to offer. Grounds beautiful. House spacious to say the least. Well kept. Furniture comfortable, kitchen clean, well-supplied. Lots of TV's, games for the kids, among other things, Pool facility great. Everyone was very sad to leave.Andrew was very attentive and quick to respond to our requests.
Everything about the experience of this stay was beyond my expectations. Let's start with the Communication between me and the property manager. Couldn't have asked for better. Any time I had a question I typically heard back within an hour. The home itself was incredible. When they say this place can sleep over 20 people they're not kidding. We held our retreat here (13 people) and we all pretty much had out own rooms. The great room was perfect for us to hold our retreat at - we had the presentation up on the TV and had a crackling fire going underneath. The game room and the jacuzzi were all great. The kitchen literally has everything you need. It's also very close to town so for us it was only a 5 minute drive to go out to eat. Our retreat was in January but I cannot even imagine who breathtaking this property would be in the Summer or Fall. The house is so close to the water that it would be lovely for walks along the water. Thank you Thank you Thank you Edgemore. Everyone was already talking about how this is the best space we have ever had for our retreat and that we all want to come back next year. We truly loved our time here.

Our Pool is heated, it works perfectly well, and there are zero issues.
The only issues were when guests (after being told NOT to touch the pool controls) touched the pool controls and turned the heater OFF during their stay.
We booked & paid 20,000 for this property six months in advance for a five-day family reunion.A major reason we chose this home at such a high price point was the promise of a heated pool & jacuzzi, which were prominently advertised in the listing. Unfortunately, the pool heater was broken, making both features unusable during our entire stay (and it was a cool week!)Despite repeated outreach, the owners never managed to get a professional pool service to resolve the issue. Their only response was to say “sorry” while refusing to provide any adjustment or partial refund. At this level of cost & marketing, that is simply unacceptable.To make matters worse, from the moment we left, we received negative, condescending texts & emails accusing us of leaving the home in disarray (a cleaning service was clearly included in the fee). They went so far as to charge additional fees to our credit card—beyond the amount already paid—without justification. Thankfully, we had taken videos before checkout showing we had complied with their instructions, including stripping the beds & leaving linens on the floor for the cleaning crew scheduled to arrive just minutes later (see pics)The house itself was otherwise fine, but overall, the experience was disappointing & frustrating. When a property is marketed at a premium, owners & managers have a responsibility to deliver what was advertised—or to make things right if they cannot. Unfortunately, that did not happen here.

AGAIN, I REPEAT...DO NOT RENT TO THIS GUEST!
EDGEMOORE ESTATE HAS DOZENS OF 5 STAR REVIEWS across all platforms. This is the first time a guest has treated our property with disrespect and an entitled, elitist attitude and unwillingness to take responsibility for the damage her family caused at our home.
Our pool and spa were fully operational at check-in, but guests ignored clear instructions not to tamper with the controls, which caused the malfunction. This was not an issue of neglect on our end, but the direct result of guest interference with equipment. Despite this, we did our best to assist during peak summer service demand.
Upon checkout, the home was left in UNUSUALLY POOR CONDITION, requiring extra cleaning, furniture reset, and replacement of multiple linens. The disappointment here was not the property—it was the guest’s disregard for rules and care of the home.
On departure, our cleaners (a full 4–5 person team on site for 7 hours) reported the home required extensive extra work.
Furniture was moved out of place,
excessive trash was left behind,
10 linens had to be replaced due to staining.
The home was left in a condition far beyond normal use, resulting in nearly $1,000 in damages and additional labor.
We’re proud to host respectful families and groups who treat the home with care. Unfortunately, in this instance, both the pool malfunction and the state of the property were a direct result of guest actions, not the quality of our home or our service.
