My husband Dave and I met on Seneca Lake when I was in High School. At the time my grandparents owned the cottage and I was visiting them on summer vacation. Dave's parents had recently purchased the cottage two doors down. When we met I lived in Connecticut and Dave lived in Johnson City New York. We had a long-distance relationship while I went to school in Boston and he was finishing school at Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester NY. After we got married we continued to visit Seneca Lake on weekends in the summer. It was important to us to keep the cottage in our family so we bought it from my family when it became available.
Due to water issues in the dirt basement of the cottage we had to raise it up and build a new foundation. This started several years of renovations that included everything except the original floor boards between the fist and second floor. Our family was very involved in completing most of the renovations. We are very proud of what we built and we are happy to share our little piece of paradise with renters.
We currently live in the Binghamton New York area which is about an hour and forty-five-minute drive to the cottage.
Our family has spent many weeks and weekends enjoying all Seneca Lake has to offer and the cottage is a special place to us. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we have.

Why they chose this property
This cottage was my grandparents since 1970. My husband and I bought it from the family in 2007 when our kids were 8 and 10 years old. We love the lake and all the area has to offer. We hope you do too!
What makes this property unique
Recently renovated, immaculately clean and well organized. Lakefront - only steps from the water. Dock and boat lift. On the Seneca Lake Wine Trail - walking distance to Miles Vineyards. Beautiful views of the sunrise over Seneca Lake.
