Perfect setup for a weekend away with a large group there is plenty of space, three levels and both an indoor sunroom and a deck not to mention a backyard with huge fire pit. Wonderful time.

Great short family retreat

We were a group of 5 moms and 5 daughters, exploring the Galena area for a long weekend before our girls leave for college. The house was great - enough beds/couches for sleeping and easy access to activities in the area. We spent time in downtown Galena, went horseback riding at Shenandoah, rented kayaks at the marina on Lake Galena, and took in the fun at Chestnut Mountain. The house had everything we needed for cooking, grilling, relaxing, and singing karaoke ... and the communication with our hosts was top notch. We hope to be back in the future!

We had a wonderful stay! It was a beautiful home and property- we loved the outdoor space. Even though we had our two little ones, along with two extra guests, it did not feel crowded because of how spacious the home is! The hosts were so kind and helpful. It was nice to come back to a cozy home after a long day exploring lovely Galena. Looking forward to staying here again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Deana and Paul‘s property. The check-in process was very straightforward and easy. The home was very clean. We had all that we needed in the kitchen to cook and to grill outside, plenty of towels for our group, and ample room to sleep. We would highly recommend this property to anyone staying in Galena.

The stay was amazing. The only thing is that the shower on the first floor has a leaky shower head. We tried to fix it but ultimately just did not use that shower the rest of the stay.

Had trouble with the Kruerig coffee machine. Never did find the light switch for the dining area. But house is roomy; great for entertaining; fire pit is awesome; roomy enough for our 3 cars. We had a great time - thank you.

The house was great. We had 5 adults in our group. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The open style family room and kitchen was perfect. The app used for entrance was easy to use. I had a question about how to sign on to the WiFi and the host responded almost immediately.

Really enjoyed our stay here! The property and setting was beautiful and we enjoyed nightly campfires and using the deck. Each morning there were lots of birds to listen to and watch! It was a peaceful setting I would return to again.
