Moonstone Point: 1.5 miles to ski slopes

Moonstone Point is a 3000 square foot luxurious mountain family home, perfectly nestled in the mountains on a “point” directly above Breckenridge. This home sits on 1.2 acres backing up to the National Forest. The open floor plan - family room, dining room and kitchen (with spectacular views) allows for relaxation and entertaining. This is the ideal setting for couples, families or corporate getaways. This 4 bedroom, 3.75 bath home features a stone fireplace for cozy gatherings in winter months, and a wrap-around deck with a gas or charcoal barbecue for year-round casual entertaining.

There are two master suites - one on the main floor and one upstairs. There are 2 more bedrooms upstairs and a queen sleeper couch in the family room. The downstairs large master suite and bath were a recent addition and it has a huge walk in closet. Each of the three bathrooms has a shower, one is a relaxing steamer shower, and the downstairs master bath features a walk in shower with dual shower heads and a vanity with double sinks.

The gourmet kitchen is a cook's dream with marble countertops and newer appliances. The breathtaking views of the surrounding mountain ranges are visible from the expansive windows and deck that is highlighted with a newer Jacuzzi hot tub.

There is wireless internet access, a game center and toys, Nintendo and Playstation game systems, televisions, and a great stereo system with a cd library. There is a selection of sleds for children to use.

Moonstone Point is located just 5 minutes from the main ski gondola, and 15 minutes from a Jack Nicklaus designed 27 hole championship golf course.
The minimum age for renters is 30.

A 4-wheel drive vehicle is necessary in the winter months in order to navigate the well-plowed, yet sometimes steep and slick incline.

We had the most amazing time in the cabin! The visit from the fox’s was awesome! We all loved it!

We came down for a double birthday trip with some close friends that turned into an engagement proposal for one of the birthday ladies! We loved the whole cabin and enjoyed every second! I would highly recommend this cabin!

Great location

Great location, less than 10mins to the main Gondola/ Main Street. If it’s winter you will definitely need 4 wheel drive. The house is great, the 4 bedrooms is great if you have a good sized group.

This is the second time my family has stayed here and it was once again a great time. Excellent location with quick and easy access to town/skiing. We had one minor issue come up and the owners responded quickly and it was taken care of. Highly recommend and will plan to stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The views are breathtaking! The closet was stocked with games and toys in addition to a portacrib and baby gates which were very helpful.

Rare to find a four bedroom with at least all queen beds plus 4 bathrooms in Breck area for this price. Very comfortable with gorgeous views and convenient location. Communication with hosts was excellent.

Great Property!

Great views in a great location that seems like you are on top of Breckenridge. Easy location to skiing, shopping, and getting on the road to other local resorts. House was in good condition with great amenities but overall, Steve was a terrific host and very responsive! Thanks Steve and Nancy, if we're back in the area, we'll definitely book here again! Great property, great location

The house was great. Close to downtown with a hiking trail right behind the house. We hiked up to bald mountain directly from the house and enjoyed sunsets from the deck. Timely communication with the owners. Lots of space and amenities. We will be back.

Family ski trip!

Well stocked kitchen, even has a pancake griddle and waffle maker! Perfect for our married kids and husband and I since two rooms have king and the other two have queen beds. The main room has huge windows with a view of the mountains. It also has a very nice hot tub. Just a few minutes to drive to historic town. You do need a four wheel drive to navigate the hills if staying in the winter months, but the view is worth it!

Amazing Value, Amazing View, Amazing Location

This house has a great view, is very well equipped and it tremendous value considering you are a walk away from downtown Breck. Hot tub is a must do !! for after skiing. Beds are good, steam shower in the downstairs bathroom !!! Amazing. Super nice and helpful owners. Definitely will stay here again. Sit in the hot tub and gaze over the mountain range. We loved this place !!!!

Coronacation

We stayed here the weekend Breckenridge shut down due to Covid 19 and it was the best last hurrah we could have asked for. Set up on a mountain with beautiful views, every day we had multiple visits from a fox family. Super close to skiing and downtown. House was very clean and cozy. We lacked for nothing. We’ll be back!

Deposit Stress!

The house and property are fantastic and the view is fabulous! Our group of 9 adults stayed for a long weekend and were extremely pleased with the accommodations. Our only problem occurred a week after returning home when we received a call asking about damage to the property. There was no way to prove our innocence, and we spent two stressful days worrying about the security deposit. The owners did agree to return it, but I would suggest waiting at the house until the cleaning lady gives you written approval of the condition of the property.

Good stay but a few things could use a little love

Overall, the place was great and in a great location with fantastic views. A few things to note... The Queen bed mattress upstairs in the far room is horrible! My back hurt the entire stay. This definitely needs to be replaced. The was a lack of food storage containers for leftovers. The light in the Master BR closet is horrible. Could barely see anything even with the light on. I found a crock pot, which is great. However, the actual pot had a crack in it and could not be used. The Queen bed blanket in the room next to the stairs had a dirty, stained blanket on it. It was quite gross as it had blood stains on it. The King BR upstairs was unbelievably HOT!

Awesome place to stay

Let me start by saying you won't be disappointed. The house is in the perfect location just a short drive to the slopes and has everything you need and beautiful views. We stayed in early March 2022 and this was an unusual year for us in that it snowed more than any other time we visited Breckenridge for Spring Break. That being said, I want to emphasize what the owners have stated. You have to have a 4 wheel drive vehicle, period. We saw several two wheel drive vehicles in town and they were not doing well at all. There's no way they could have driven to the house. We woke up on Monday morning to a moose just outside our window not more than 30 feet away. We were also visited by two foxes every evening so we had a lot of fun with them. The hot tub is great. The foxes were scurrying around while we were in the hot tub. Having the grill was outstanding and the beds were very comfortable. The owners were very responsive to any questions I had. This place is definitely on our list of places to return to for future Breckenridge visits.

Fun Vacation in Breckenridge

This is a nice property with a gorgeous view. My husband and I stayed here with our daughter, her husband, and their three young children. (Please be sure to read the last paragraph if you are taking little ones.) The house has two master suites which worked out great for our family. The kitchen and living areas were plenty spacious for us all to enjoy each other’s company. We cooked most of our meals there, and there were plenty of dishes and pans to cover all our needs. The deck is huge, and the two older grandchildren were trustworthy enough to obey boundaries, so that made the deck a perfect place for them to play outside in an area where we could see them. This is not a new property, but I felt it has been well-maintained. The main level master is new and very nice. The upstairs bedrooms are all fine. The bathroom upstairs could use updating, but it was certainly fine for vacationing. The owner was always prompt about answering my questions, often returning an email within minutes. I would not hesitate to rent this property again, and in fact, would likely do so when we go back to Breckenridge. Having said all that, if you are considering the property and have a baby, I feel I should say in this review that the house has several aspects that were of concern to me. The property has steep stairs, and there are spindles on the landing which are far apart. Additionally, several of the pulls for the blinds do not have a place to secure them when they are pulled. The owners provided gates, but the ones for the upstairs banister area are not secure enough to depend on a child not being able to remove them. I realize every house has its perils and probably few vacation homes are totally child-proof, but those two issues, along with cleaning supplies stored in several bathrooms and in a storage room whose door the baby could easily open required great vigilance.

Dirty inside, but great view and location

Take your own towels and bedding to guarantee cleanliness. Dirty towels were mixed in with the clean one, and the clean were very sour. Take house shoes or extra socks, as floors were dirty. View and location are spectacular!!! A friendly fox visits nightly!!! So fun to see!! Not a bad property. Just needs some better housekeeping.

Perfect Mountain Home

This house was great. Close enough to Breckenridge to take a short Uber into town, but far enough away to give you that mountain house feel. Loved the open space layout for gathering with friends and huge bonus that everyone got their own room. The hot tub also added to the experience. All and all will be renting again!!

Excellent experience

We really enjoyed our stay at this property, which offers all of the amenities of home, as well as a gorgeous view across the valley! The owners were very accommodating and easy to communicate with, even going so far as to work us in for an extra night as a result of severe weather, which was greatly appreciated! The location is convenient, just a short drive from the Breckenridge gondola. Be aware that the driveway can be somewhat difficult to get in and out of during heavy snow.

Wooded Sanctuary

A true family home that one can tell is loved by its owners. We were most pleased to find the stock of wood for the fireplace. Kitchen is well-appointed with a few pantry staples and plenty of pots/equipment. The bathroom layout is not readily apparent in listing, so if one of your group is picky, I would recommend checking with the very responsive property manager with any questions about bed-bath arrangements. Beautiful wooded setting made this property a joy to come home to each evening after skiing, with the gondola being 8-10 minutes away even in snowy driving conditions. 4-wheel drive required in my estimation.
