My girlfriends and I really enjoyed our stay here. Property manager was responsive when we asked for the hot tub to be maintained halfway through our week long stay because we were using it every day. They came out within 12 hours. Beds we comfy. Was nice to have the fire pit too.

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Communication
The house was amazing! Clean, comfortable, and perfectly stocked with necessities for our stay. The porch and hot tub were highlights and the wifi worked well. Stairs to the loft are steep and may be an issue for some. I was thankful that the house was at the end of the road and compared to others in the area the lot had more flat ground. The only downside we encountered was poor customer service from the management company. It started a bit odd with the need to pay them directly rather than through vrbo. They seem to prefer to communicate through text rather than in the app chat. And when we called because we had trouble finding the place despite using the address provided, we got attitude rather than a helpful nature, including a comment that the conflicting info given was because we booked through vrbo. If they don’t want to work through vrbo, why list it here?

Thank you for your honest feedback. We're very sorry this was your experience with our team. We strive to make every guest's stay a positive one, and apologize we let you down on that regard.
This was the perfect area for us, close to all the activities we had planned and extra's too. The cabin was so cute and cozy and had everything we needed. The hot tub was used every night and enjoyed too. I hope to return to the area and will stay again if I am lucky enough to book this place again, we loved it!!!

Beautiful property - close to everything. Only concern was how well its cleaned between. Found chips by the couch and mens socks in fhe corner. Besides those oversights, would definitely stay there again!

Hey Sarah, thank you so much for the kind words about the property and location. We’re really glad you enjoyed your stay overall.
We’re very sorry to hear about the cleaning oversights. That’s definitely not up to our standard, and we’ll be addressing this with our housekeeping team to make sure we’re paying closer attention to those details moving forward.
We truly appreciate you pointing that out and are really glad to hear you’d still stay with us again. We’d love the chance to host you for an even better experience next time.
Easy to get to parks and trails. No wifi, but everything else was fantastic! I would recommend it!

Hey Leisha, thanks for being such a great guest. We appreciate your honest review! Woodland Escape is located so close to all the best hiking the RRG has to offer!
Clean and no dust. Decorated cute. Good view. The bedroom on left water didn’t get hot and the stove keeps turning on when we use the microwave. It’s very touchy and worried us when leaving the cabin. Had to keep checking it. It was in several times the switch on very end of right side.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed the cleanliness, décor, and views. We’re very sorry about the issues you experienced with the stove and hot water — our maintenance team has been notified and is addressing both right away to ensure everything works safely and smoothly. We appreciate you bringing it to our attention!
My wife and I have been staying in cabins in the Gorge for 20 years. This cabin was one of the cleanest and well maintained cabins we’ve ever been in. Communication was excellent and location to the trails and every place we wanted to be was perfect. We don’t stay at the same place often but we’ve already made note to return to this one.

Our stay was so relaxing. The cabin was beautiful and clean. The access to the many trails in the Red River Gorge area made exploring fun!The cabin was a bit challenging to find so make sure to follow the link they provide. It would have been helpful to have the cabin name on a sign. I want to make mention to come prepared with essentials, like laundry soap, and coffee. They did have a small amount, but for a family of 6 we did need to head to the grocery store for the extra supplies. That in no way downgrades our experience, as it was a wonderful trip!

Thank you so much for your 10/10 rating! We’re glad you enjoyed your stay with us and would love to welcome you back to any of our RRG Getaways properties anytime.
Secluded for now but construction all around. The outdoor grill is more primitive with no lid to contain heat and no grilling utensils so flipping burgers will be done with a plastic spatula. The hot water tank is small so don't run more than 1 major water source at once especially showers, BRRR. There are window screens in closets so be careful of which windows you open. The main living room ceiling fan remote is hidden in a decorative vase on the coffee table. Both main closets are being used for cleaning supplies so unpacking with storage is difficult. There are no window coverings for some windows and doors. Lastly, check out should be at noon as this is a cabin built for up to 6 people and waking up, getting ready for the day, packing, feeding 6 people along with cleanup is difficult to manage. Packing a home is more time consuming than packing up a hotel room. Overall, we would rate this cabin a 4.5 stars.

Hi Timothy,
Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We really appreciate it.
We’re glad you enjoyed the secluded feel of the cabin. There are a few other cabins currently being built in the Twin Arch neighborhood, and there are already several cabins nearby as well. We understand that neighborhood growth can change the feel over time and appreciate you mentioning it.
The grill at the cabin is a picnic style charcoal grill, which is fully open by design, as shown in the photos. We do provide grilling utensils in the kitchen area, and we’re sorry if they were not easy to locate during your stay.
We apologize if you experienced any issues with the hot water. The system should be able to keep up with multiple showers, but we’re sorry if it did not meet expectations while you were there.
Thank you as well for pointing out the window screens, ceiling fan remote location, closet storage, and window coverings. That kind of specific feedback is very helpful as we continue improving the space.
Regarding checkout time, we understand that packing up a cabin with a larger group takes coordination. While our standard checkout time allows our team enough time to properly prepare for the next guests, we’re always happy to offer a late checkout when availability allows. Guests are welcome to reach out ahead of time so we can try to accommodate.
We truly appreciate your honest review and would love the opportunity to host you again in the future.
