Great location, beautiful decor, responsive owner who installed high speed internet when the local provider failed to be usable. It's a great place to stay for your Santa Fe visit, walking distance to downtown and the historic plaza and across the street from the Ft Marcy complex, a park with athletic fields and tennis courts.
We had a wonderful time staying in Pam’s beautiful condo. As mentioned in other reviews, it was convenient to town, to restaurants and to Fort Marcy park. The condo was comfortable for a couple, but would have been tight for 4 adults. But when our grandchildren visited us, they loved it. One of the best things about the condo is its attached garage that provided storage for our golf clubs as well as items we were traveling with. It was so convenient to be able to pull in to unload groceries and purchases. The kitchen, while small, was stocked with every utensil we could ever have needed. We especially appreciated the spices and condiments that were there for our use.
We contacted Pam on two occasions with questions. She responded very quickly. Thank you for a great visit to your beautiful city.
Lovely condo with great location - best for two people
Lovely condo, beautifully decorated. Well-provisioned overall with very comfortable beds and a very responsive owner. Location is great, with easy walking access to central Plaza and other areas around central Santa Fe, as well as easy in and out of Santa Fe when traveling around the area. We had some very warm afternoons in early August, and the AC units worked very well.
On the downside, water pressure is good, but be warned that there seems to be some sort of water temperature regulator and after a couple of minutes, the hot water diminishes. It never gets cold, just moderately warm. This makes sense to discourage long, hot showers in a desert climate.
The Dish media system provided only limited TV (no ABC, CBS, or NBC - but FOX, CNN, MSNBC, and ESPN were available) plus, the WIFI was quite limited. It would not be great to have to use the WIFI for work, streaming, or anything where speed or bandwidth was important.
Finally, there is limited seating for meals. There's a nice table on the upstairs balcony, but otherwise only two people can be accommodated at the small bar by the kitchen.
Still, overall, it provided a very pleasant stay for two people in a great town.

It was news to me that hot water was limited and that local TV channels were not accessible. I called Dish and they assured me that local channels are a part of my package; as for hotter water, I could have suggested turning the dial up on the water heater. WIFI is not suitable for streaming but is the best version available in that part of Santa Fe at this time. There is a table suitable for dining on the first floor with two upholstered stools and 2-4 folding chairs that can be placed around it but it needs to be pulled out into the room and space is limited so many guests don't bother but some do.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, listing accuracy
Disliked: Communication
Looks pretty, but overall comfort was disappointing.
We have been full time travelers for the past 3 years and rely heavily on reviews and therefore are very honest and thorough when we write our reviews.
Pros:
-walking distance to the plaza (10-15 min)
-clean
-very comfortable master bed with quality linens
-garage
-no noise from neighbors.
Cons:
-road noise (particularly early in the AM)
-small kitchen & lack of storage space for personal food items
-all furniture was uncomfortable (other than master bed): couches were low with low backs, bar stools (only 2) had no backs and the bars at the bottom were hard on bare feet, the 'dining table' is kind of a side table with little ottoman chairs (2 of those chairs served as a coffee table in the living room) 4 people could not sit across from each other and fit the huge plates on the table; this is also not at a regular table height
-furniture is arranged at an angle and makes the space feel cramped (you are not allowed to move any furniture)
-TV is not a smart TV and located above the small breakfast bar, but the couch is angled the other direction
-rusty water in the master bath shower on arrival. Contacted Pam and she said no one had mentioned this in the past and to run the water to clean out the pipes from sediment. Ran an entire tub (& out of hot water). Moved to the shower downstairs (which may have had the issue, but we couldn't tell because of the dark tile). Contacted her a few days later to say that we were still have problems and she never replied.
-outside area is VERY dark at night (a little creepy when taking your pet out)
-closest pet friendly (grass) area is at the park about a 5 min walk
We had a friend for dinner a couple times and found it cramped. One of us stood at the breakfast bar to eat each time. We couldn't imagine having 4 people in the space for 30 days.
We checked out early (per our orig plan), did all things per checkout list and received an email from Pam that she was holding $125 of our damage deposit because we had moved food items (flour, sugar, etc) to top shelf so we had room for OUR food and that we had somehow messed up the TV (which was working fine when we left). She didn't respond to our reply until we contacted VRBO. She then sent a lengthy reply, still refusing to refund our damage deposit. After a 2nd call to VRBO she did refund it, as there was no damage done. We have NEVER had an issue like this before!
Due to this and all the other things above, we wouldn't recommend this place.

As stated by this couple, they were travelling non-stop and expected their vacation rental to serve in place of a permanent home. Therefore, perhaps their expectations and needs could not be met by a vacation rental. I could respond to each of their complaints individually but am choosing to try to be succinct. Within the first three days of their visit, they complained about the water, the TV and light bulbs. The water complaint has some legitimacy....we have hard water in Santa Fe; I have had my water tank flushed, a mineral-removing filter put on the system and still the hot water to the master bath tub comes out with some minor degree of rust. If the hot water is not turned on daily, the faucet needs to be run for a few minutes in order to clear out the rust that my plumbers tell me is most likely caused by a piece of iron pipe used in the plumbing running to that fixture. Since we do not have that problem elsewhere in the condo, that seems a reasonable explanation. All the rest of my plumbing is copper and of the highest quality so the thought is that when built, the plumbers may have run short and substituted a piece of iron somewhere in the pipe leading to that fixture. Trying to find it would require destruction and restoration of sheet rock, plaster and tile which they do not recommend since the problem is minor and isolated. The major issue from my point of view has to do with the main TV which was in perfect working order on the day the renters arrived. The next day, they reported it was suddenly not working. Since I was out of town, I offered advice on how to restore service and committed to coming over myself as soon as I returned. Within a day or two, I was informed that the TV was back in working order; my help was no longer needed but original TV controls that would allow use of the TV outside of the satellite service provided were requested with a stipulation....I was to leave the controls outside the unit and not enter the condo. At the end of the rental period, I was the first one to visit the condo and the TV in question was totally non-operable. After three hours on the phone with my service providers, a technician was sent out and he discovered that the TV had been deprogrammed from its factory settings. This never happened before in the five years I have rented this condo so I believe these renters accidentally, or purposely, caused this problem, did not want me to know and lied to me and you in the review they wrote.
We had a wonderful stay in Santa Fe, partly thanks to this comfortable, clean, and close property. We were able to walk to the Plaza easily and several restaurants, including some of our favorites. The upstairs patio was greatly appreciated in the beautiful weather. The kitchen was very useful so that we didn’t have to eat out most nights. Highly recommended!
We were enjoying our stay until we had an infestation of beetles for the last month and one-half of our stay. There were bugs everywhere particularly the master bedroom. The unit need regular professional pest control in my opinion. It ruined half of our stay.

It was very unfortunate that Carl and Pam had to endure a six-week beetle infestation outside their master bedroom French doors that happens annually in Santa Fe but never to my condo before. There is no prior spraying that would have prevented it and no spraying of insecticides after the fact that is recommended inside or out. The bugs, about the size of a small ant, are annoying but don’t bite or reproduce and come and go within a six- week period. I feel lucky to have experienced them only this once in 12 years of living here.
Perfectly located in Santa Fe, walking distance to town and great hikes around and close to skiing. Beautifully decorated and the pieces can be used in different ways. Highly recommend!!

All the best of the Southwest
What a lovely home! Pamela’s decor is Southwest at its finest. She seems to have everything covered in way of amenities so you’d not want for anything more. We loved the neighborhood, the proximity to walk downtown and a two car garage. Wish our stay had been longer!

Excellent stay in a perfect location.
The townhouse was clean and fresh, beautifully appointed with neutral colors, nice linens and fluffy towels. We stayed in the bedroom upstairs which had a nice kingsize bed and a comfortable sitting area outside. Two great bedrooms/bathrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed and the best part we were in walking distance to town. We also had Fort Marcy Park across the street great for morning walks. TV and wifi. Nice garage to keep our car. No problems parking. Lovely neighborhood. Highly recommended. Host/Pam was very organized and everything was spelled out. The only thing, it was a tiny loud because the townhouse is on a fairly busy street but we got used to it. Don't let that deter you. Gloria

Nice place to stay
Pamela's property is lovely and nicely decorated in the Santa Fe style. The property is really a townhouse with one bedroom, full-bath and living area upstairs and another bedroom, full-bath, kitchen and living area downstairs. It is located very near the Plaza and you can get anywhere in Santa Fe quickly. The kitchen is very well equipped with a large refrigerator, a full stove and oven, a microwave, toaster, electric mixer and coffee maker. Also a stacked washer and dryer. The wi-fi worked well and we could video chat with our kids. The beds were comfortable and the bed and bath linens were comfortable and high quality. The 2-car attached garage with remote control door opener was very convenient. Although we were impressed with the property and felt very much at home there, there were 2 things that were sometimes difficult. First, the unit is right on Bishop's Lodge Road which is a busy street and can be noisy. Second, the couches in the living room are not comfortable and the back of the couch slips away from the base causing some surprises when they slip off. Be careful. We still give it 5 stars though so do consider Pamela's property if you're coming to Santa Fe.

As for Bishops Lodge Rd and noise, I can only say that given the downtown location of the condo, noise on this street is minimal and most noticeable around morning and early evening commute times. As for the living room couch which turned into an extra guest bed, it has been replaced with a sofa with a back so no problem with cushions anymore!

Cute place
We had a pleasant stay. Condo is clean, nicely furnished and master bed very comfortable. Good location across from Ft. Marcy park (good for running, exercise and nice playground if you have small children). Within walking distance of plaza and some nice restaurants (try Estevan - new farm to table restaurant). Good access to hiking trails off Artists Way. Could hear traffic from bedroom but it subsided at night.

Great Sante Fe experience
The condo was spacious, clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Perfect location close to the plaza and a beautiful drive up the road to Tesuque on the way to Taos. The stairs to the second level may be daunting for some folks with mobility problems but we very much enjoyed this lovely condo. Pamela, the owner was very helpful and answered any questions we had. A beautiful place to stay in a beautiful, vibrant city.

My wife and I stayed for a week in October. Pamela, the owner, was very helpful with our questions and giving us ideas on what to see and restaurants to go to. The condo was beautiful and comfortable. It was in a great location just a ten minute walk to the plaza and historic area, plus, it was on the street that would take you on a beautiful drive north to Tesuque on the way to Taos. We had a relaxing stay and definitely stay here again.

About the host
Hosted by Pamela Dimmer
Having lived in various parts of the U.S. and some parts of Europe, I came to Santa Fe a number of years ago, continued my property management business and recently decided to use my expertise to buy and rent a property of my own. I live on the north side of town and love it so I looked for a property in the same vicinity that I could offer to others so that they might get to know and love Santa Fe as I do.
Why they chose this property
This condominium is part of a six-unit development and is very much like a small stand-alone house. There are windows on all sides, big trees over-hanging the building to give shade from the hot Santa Fe sun and attributes that reflect some of the best of the southwestern building style. A small private-entry courtyard leads to the main entrance of the house, a kiva fireplace is one of the first things you see upon entering, space is well used (not wasted), kitchen is small but very functional and open to the main floor living area. Two couples could easily stay here and feel as though they each had a floor more or less to themselves.
What makes this property unique
There is more outdoor living space available in this condo than many other larger places offer. Within five or six blocks of the center of town, but just beyond the perimeter of most downtown activity. You can join in the many activities of the day that Santa Fe has to offer and then come back and relax in the quiet ambiance of this peaceful setting.
