We enjoyed our staying at the cottage. It was locally staged so that we were able to get to wherever we wanted to go within a short amount of time and a short amount of distance and with convenience.

Positives- Walkable to food and bars-Charming- 503 Govt Street- GoogleConstructive Criticism- Street parking was stated didn't know next to a sketchy Budget Inn- half block go through iron gate of closed event venue - being renovated- unit behind venue in courtyard -Exposed brick inside and spiral staircase as in listing- No where to put suitcase or to hang clothes- no rods- no dresser- In bathroom- hair visible outside of shower unit- possible mouse trap black plastic clamp device visible behind toilet- Toilet paper holder falls off when try to use-There was empty space cubby in bathroom- would have been great place for a rod to hang clothes. I forgot my shampoo so bought some but little things like trial sized shampoo or bath soap would have been a nice touch- no dryer glad I brought mine- maybe list that too- The trim above shower insert lifting and coming off at top- In bedroom- AC mini-split unit on wall- its old but worked-located on the back brick wall but blocked by another wall so cold air didn't get to the bed area- Slept on pull out sofa in living room mostly-bc too hot- On lower level, If walked barefooted, feet were dirty from floors. Keurig also struggling to make coffee. WIFI never worked This could be a great place with attention to details. The most important thing for me is safety and cleanliness- Clean under beds and sofa, behind fake fireplace. Forgot Pics- I hope this review helps property managers to make it fantastic for future guests!

Great Location & Historic Charm, but Poor Management & Safety ConcernsI hope the owner reads this. This carriage house is unique, quiet, and matches the listing, but serious issues prevent me from recommending it. While management responded to some complaints, standards fell short.Major Concerns:Safety Hazards: Broken glass was scattered downstairs and tracked upstairs. I stepped on glass even after a partial cleanup. The iron stair banister was also broken at the bottom.Poor Cleanliness: The house was dirty, featuring stains, dust, and what looked like rodent droppings behind the pull-out couch. The pull-out mattress was so dirty we had to cover it with our own blanket.Trash: Outdoor bins still held the previous guests' garbage.Insufficient Linens: For 3 guests staying 2 nights, we got only 3 towels (one damp). No extra blankets were provided for the bed or pull-out.Missing Supplies: No hand soap in the bathroom, a near-empty bottle in the kitchen, and no paper towels or dishcloths. Management's fix was delivering another nearly empty soap.Weak AC: The downstairs gets very warm in summer, and the upstairs AC cannot cool the whole unit. The provided fan was old and dirty.This historic gem is being neglected. The owner should hire a management company that properly maintains it. If you stay, bring indoor shoes, extra towels/blankets, hand soap, paper towels, and a fan.

Great location , great place happy guests . The only thing I noticed there was 2 huge water bugs/roaches . It freaked me out cuz I did not expect that . Other than that , the place was a great vibe for me and my husband . This will be our go to spot if we don’t mind the bug . Just hope bug extermination is #1 priority
