This place was perfect for our family visit to NYC. The unit is centrally located on the upper east side, walking distance to Central Park, several markets and restaurants, and the East River commuter ferry. The kitchen/living area is very small but okay since we were gone most of the them. There is a refrigerator, microwave, and small stove to make simple meals, and in-unit laundry which is helpful on long stays. Check-in procedures are very prescriptive, but host was otherwise great. I recommend this place for your visit to NYC.
The apartment was clean and well stocked for the size. The beds were comfortable and the host was available for any questions we had. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this apartment, especially for the location.
Great location, close to metro and has a near my grocery store. Apartment was clean. But AC doesn't work well. Tried a few settings but would start and then close after a short period.
The apartment was clean and well maintained, and overall we really enjoyed our stay. The location is excellent, right near the subway, which made getting around very easy. Do not be hesitant to use the subway. It is a big advantage of this place.Inside, the apartment stood out as one of the few we saw with a reasonably sized television. The living area is small but thoughtfully arranged so there is a spot for everyone and it feels cozy rather than cramped. The beds were comfortable, check in was easy, and the host was responsive and helpful.A few minor notes worth mentioning. The window blinds had a few missing pieces, which allowed some light into the bedrooms when closed. We visited when temperatures were in the twenties and thirties, and the heating worked well. There was a faint smoke smell when entering the building, but the apartment itself was smoke free and smelled pleasant. Two of the three bedrooms are more isolated, while one is bright and faces the street, so it is best suited for a heavier sleeper. It was not too noisy at night, though you will hear typical daytime street noise. Overall, we would definitely stay here again and would recommend this apartment, especially for charm and its location.

Okay for a short stay
Apartment was not the cleanest and window blinds had several missing pieces allowing people to look straight in bedrooms when closed. AC was not strong enough to cool small apartment, cabinets in kitchen were not sturdy and almost came out of the wall. The housekeeper had a comforter drying when we arrived and asked us to put it away when it was finished drying. It was okay because we did not need to spend a large amount of time in the apartment. Location was key for us so that worked out well. First time booking with vrbo, will probably go back to Airbnb just based on check-in process and overall experience.
This may have been one of the worst stays we've ever experienced. First, the check in process was stressful. You have to arrange a time to meet with somebody to let you into the place, and if you are late, they charge you by the hour (even if the reason you're late is out of your control, i.e., a delayed flight). One of our friends rushed from the airport to make sure we checked in on time. Also, be aware that they charge you for checking in late (60 after 11pm, 100 after 1am). Second, the place smells like cigarette smoke the second you walk into the building. It gets worse inside the apartment. If you are sensitive or have allergies, would definitely recommend not staying here.Third, cleanliness was subpar. There were signs of water damage (maybe mold?) on the walls. The bedding also had no top sheet, so we were really hoping they were washing the comforters between stays. Plus, the extra blankets provided did not look clean.Fourth, the washer and dryer does not work very well. We could not find the detergent, so we went out and bought some ourselves. The washer malfunctioned in the middle of the cycle, so our clothes were left soaking wet. We had to wring out each piece of clothing. So, don't bank on either machine working.
