Pikes Peak is one of the most beautiful landmarks in Colorado. The views from the summit inspired the words to America the Beautiful. Now that’s high praise! Whether traveling by car on the Pikes Peak Highway, by train on the Pikes Peak Cog Railway, or by foot on Barr Trail, more than a half million people reach the summit yearly. In fact, Pikes Peak is the most visited mountain summit in North America. All these people can’t be wrong! With an altitude of 14,115 feet above sea level, Pikes Peak forms a magnificent visual backdrop for Colorado Springs, Woodland Park, Fort Carson, the U.S. Air Force Academy, Garden of the Gods, Cripple Creek, and many other regional cities and attractions. You owe it to yourself and your family to make Pikes Peak and Colorado Springs your vacation destination! Great getaway for 2! Quiet, close to town with plenty of options for activities even in the winter time. This will be a place that we will definitely visit again
Place was as describe host was awesome. Location was great for just about anything you can do here. Highly recommend for a nice little get away with you and your significant other.
My husband and I were on a weekend trip. The place provided the basics needed. The locations close by a town where you can get groceries and there are restaurants. The cabin is quite rustic. There is no central heating (a space heater was provided) and it get cool in the evening. The floors are tile and get cold so you need socks or slippers. The bed and place in general was reasonably comfortable just a no frills situation.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time up at this cabin. We had a vehicle issue and Brooke called a friend and he helped us get going. We only wish we had more time up there. Thanks again Brooke and we’ll be back this summer.

super amazing place! mislead about a hot tub, turned out to just be a bathtub. other than that, good place!
Stayed 2 nights, quiet comfy studio cabin near Woodland park. Space heaters kept the temp nice during our stay with mild temps outside. Bed was comfortable, shower/bath really nice. No fencing around the cabin and other pups on property. Wasn't an issue for us but could be for others. Thanks agaim!
My husband and I wanted a weekend getaway close to home. This cabin was absolutely perfect as its away from the town and super quiet. Our dog loved running around the property and exploring. We especially enjoyed the outdoor fire pit. The property manager was very nice and welcoming. Pricing was great. The interior smelt amazing and was updated with cute style. We will definitely be coming back again! Cons:The bed, although super fancy, was uncomfortable for my husband. All the outdoor sensor lights were a bit of a nuissance when we wanted to enjoy viewing the night sky and fire. We found quite a bit of previous renters trash throughout the cabin and grounds. Black out curtains would be a lovely addition to the interior. Oh! An ice maker would also be a must! All in all, we can't wait for another getaway as we will definitely be booking again! Thank you for the memories Chic cabin!

Response from VrboOwner on 14 Apr, 2025
Katie, Thank you for staying with us. Sorry about the lighting. The lights were all on a switch and we are required to have the front light up. I wish I knew I would of helped you find the switch. Also in the back we are still in clean up phase from last renters accidentally burning down the hay barn. Its in the works and will be cleaned up shortly. Also we are on agriculture water and we recommend picking up a bag of ice in town or if you give us a heads up we would be happy to make sure its in the freezer for your next visit. Again thanks and let us know next time you need a relaxing get away.
Initial booking was “not available” although VRBO listed dates as available. Property manager suggested the date before as an alternative. The price more than doubled! When asked about this, I received zero response for the property manager. Unfortunately we had already made plans for this property. Felt a bit like bait and switch and the lack of response or explanation from the property manager was highly dissapointing. Overall, it was a cute little cabin. Very small, a studio, not a one bedroom. Front sliding door does not lock, you have to put a stick into the frame to secure it. Missing a couple of essential items such as a spatula, salt and pepper, etc. The floors are freezing even with the space heaters on, bring slippers!
Well I am Chicago art school grad that moved to Colorado to get away from the crowds, Now, 20 years later the crowds have moved to me. However, in those twenty years I have learned a lot about being a mountain chic. I am happy to help others learn and experience the Rocky Mountains in a safe and pristine setting. As well as offer my input on all the great places to see and experience in our wonderful yet semi dangerous region. lol
Why they chose this property
My family purchased this property twenty years ago for a few reasons. 1. Best view of Pikes Peak in the area 2. The trail heads off of the property! They are really awesome. 3. The close proximity to town yet secluded to not tell. (5 minutes to town of WP) 4. The acreage, bungalows, stables and water.
What makes this property unique
The stunning view, property, acreage so close to everything.
