Great time second year at this property

The only issue we had was we stayed the weekend after the time change and we were on track to check.out early, but the property did not update the time on the locks and we got locked out and hour early as we were loading our car. They resolved the problem.withing 20 minutes or so, but it did hold us up a bit. Other than that one issue though it is a great property in a great location. Can't beat it.

Everything it should be

1. Cleanest condo we have ever stayed in. My wife can get stressed in an untidy environment. This vacation was the most relaxed she has ever been. We will be specifically looking for condos managed by Village Realty for future visits. 2. Parking at this condo is plentiful and easy to get in and out off. 3. Access to the beach is easy (although the pass code to get in and out can be hard to remember) 4. Only negative is that the balcony’s view of the ocean is blocked by the dune. Even with this, and the fact it is over looking the neighbor’s pool it’s surprisingly comfortable to enjoy an evening just talking. We loved our time here.

Beautiful Place

It was as a beautiful place and the people who own it have worked hard on it. They have left a book with stuff they have done to do it with helpful stuff to do in OBX. But Village Realty is who rents it out and is letting them down. The condo was not that clean. The sheets have not been changed, they had black dog hair on them. Rugs have not been vacuumed, chips crumbs & candy crumbs were over the rugs & tables. Cleaning products were left on the kitchen counter. Other then not been clean, the condo was just right for our family for 3.

Not my favorite

The condo was beautifully appointed. So much cooking equipment there was no room to store groceries. I’d hoped for a better ocean view even as I knew it was located on the side...the dune obstructed. The main objection was the enclosed hall passages. Most condos have open porch-like corridors and a window that opens in the bedroom. I really disliked having no outside ventilation in the bedroom. The overall air flow counseling have been improved with a transom type opening over the front door and in the bedroom. I wouldn’t stay here again for that reason. Also, there should be signage near the outdoor stairs that they are slippery when wet. I found out the hard way, falling on the stairs in the rain. The elevator was out of order. Made a trip to Urgent Care and endured pain for the last half of my visit. It turned out the elevator had been repaired overnight but the out of order sign remained posted until I called to ask about it. Sloppy management.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at FF102 "Simplicity". The location and amenities were perfect and cozy. Kitchen was stocked nicely and layout of the unit and the condo in general lended itself to convenience and comfort. We had a wonderful relaxing 40th anniversary and would love to plan a repeat trip to First Flight Retreat. Village Realty is always a pleasure to deal with.

Could be a nice condo with help.

The nicest part of the condo is the upgraded kitchen. Very nice appliances and countertops. Cabinets were clean. It is a pet friendly condo so dog hair was in the carpet. The furniture is worn and dirty. In fact we placed a sheet over the sofa when we sat on it. The mattress caves in in the middle and does not afford a good night's sleep. The bathroom tub faucet nearly comes out of the wall when you pull the shower button up. The bathroom floor has dirt and mold in the corners. There is a good deal if mold behind the hot tub on the deck. The bedspread could use a good cleaning as well. We didn't know this condo was pet friendly so we were unprepared for barking dogs on either side of us day and night. We won't be back.

Had an amazing stay in the Outer Banks! The condo was clean and spacious. The convenient access to the beach was great as well as the other amenities such as the pool. Loved that I could bring my dog on my vacation. The location of the condominium was ideal for going to various places. I would bring extra pillows and I felt like the hot tub could have been clean on the middle of the week. But all in all I had a fantastic vacation in OBX with my family!

wonderfully convenient and nicely appointed rental. Echo other reviewers suggestion to bring pillows and blanket and add bath towel as the rental towels are small and rough. somewhat disappointed at the lack of service during the week. was expecting trash pickup at least twice during the week. Community should provide outdoor trashcans other than the dumpsters.

Very nice place it was clean and the photos were as advertised. The place comes with a good amount of amenities. The only recommendations I would say is bring your own pillows, blankets and laundry soap. We would definitely come back here.
