Waterfront Paridise Found

Welcome to our waterfront tropical island get-away. Located on a canal with direct access to the Banana river. Only minutes away you will find Historic Cocoa Beach, the surfing capitol of the east coast, Cape Canaveral with an abundance of fishing charters , cruise ships and tropical nightlife and Kennedy Space Center, come watch a space launch from your yard. Close by you will find Florida’s famous theme parks. Disney World and Universal Studios are only an hours drive and Orlando International airport is only 40 minute away. The Banana river area offers excellent outdoor opportunities. Fishing, surfing, golfing, birding, jet skiing, boating, parasailing hanging out at the beach and paddle boarding are just a few.
Better then a hotel, our home offers 3 fully furnished bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
The master bedroom has a king size bed, ceiling fan, closet, chest of drawers and a ¾ bath. Both the boat room and fish room are equipped with 2 twin beds, chest of drawers, ceiling fans, a closet and original art work by Nicola. All linens, pillows and towels are provided.
The living area offers a great room concept with a fully furnished kitchen including stove/oven, refrigerator with water and ice dispenser, garbage disposal, dishwasher, microwave, pots and pans, plate’s, glasses and utensils. House includes laundry room with washer and dryer, central air and lawn maintenance. We offer cable TV and wireless internet also.
Outback you will find a covered screened patio with a sitting area and a tiki bar. Bring your own beverage and watch the beautiful sunsets down the canal.
Outside is a patio with table and chairs for reading or outside dining and a bar-b-que grill with propane tank. From there you can meander down the walkway surrounded by seashells to the waterfront deck equipped with Adirondack chairs and fishing pole holder (fishing poles are in the laundry room). Fish off the deck and watch the manatee, dolphin and a variety of birds go by. The resident heron, Henry, will likely pay you a visit looking for a hand out.
While the house does not offer a garage we have ample parking in the driveway.
Renter must be at least 35 years old and staying at the home the entire time.

Nice clean home near everything

This 3 bedroom 2 bath home is located perfectly. 8 minutes to Cocoa Beach, 8 minutes to shopping and dining. Beautifully decorated with the owners own artistic flair.

Canal House

This Home tastefully decorated & very clean. Loved the back part on the Canal. The reviews are accurate, we saw many Manatee’s & Dolphins. Nice quiet Neighborhood. I would rent this house again in the Future. Steve was a great Host, easy to communicate with!

Lots of space, nicely decorated, everything you need in the kitchen. First time renting with Home Away and it went very smoothly. We would love to rent this home again this Oct. but it is already booked!

Beautiful home in Merritt Island!

Beautifull home with fantastic water front canal views. Watch the manatees swim by. House was very clean, Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and equipment socooking wont be an issue. Property manager is very responsive.

Loved every minute!

Adorable home felt so cozy. Enjoyed relaxing on the lanai and watching the dolphins and boats go by - so peaceful. Friendly neighbors and a great neighborhood for walking. 15 minutes to the beach and rocket launches too. Kind and responsive owners. Couldn't have asked for a better stay!

We had an excellent stay. Your home was very comfortable. Sitting on the screened porch in the evenings was a great way to end our days. We saw dolphins and a manatee travel up and down the canal. It was everything we expected and more. The kitchen was stocked with all that we needed. Might want to add a blender, but not a must. The weather was absolutely perfect this whole month of February 2018!

Perfect House for our family

What a gem! Immaculately clean. Artfully decorated. Every need met in the kitchen from wine glasses, to aluminum foil, to a cookie sheet. Property manager willing to help with anything, but we didn't need him. Carport has owner's boat and car, so we parked in the driveway--that was a drawback but not major. Decent neighborhood; close to Cocoa Beach action; Cruise ship port fun; close grocery store and other shopping. The perfect location for our family to visit relatives and tourist traps, but then retreat to our happy home-away-from-home! I would definitely rent this home again. Perfect first experience renting from Home Away.

Wonderful place to stay

My husband and I loved this house. Very clean. Safe neighborhood, nice to walk around. One nt we were treated to a 100+ golf cart parade all decorated for Christmas! Saw manatees and dolphins swim by in canal daily. Great location: 5 minutes to Port Canaveral, about 10 minutes to Cocoa Beach. Close to many nature parks, museums and stores. We enjoyed fishing at the Port as well as waving as the big cruise ships left. Wild Ocean is great place to buy delicious shrimp. Charlie gave us a tour and we learned about shrimping. Saw Space X engine come in on barge. Saw several rocket launches. Even from driveway, it shook the ground and lit up the sky! Veterans Museum 10 min. away, very nice as is Brevard Museum of HIstory and Natural Science-both free. Sam House great place to hike and bird. Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge is gorgeous, 7 mile drive on Black Point won't disappoint-see many birds and gators. Go to Cruickshank Preserve in Rockledge to see the critically endangered Florida Scrub Jays-very curious and beautiful birds. If you go to Titusville, be sure and eat at Steve's Diner-great food and service! Everyone in this area is so nice and friendly. We would come back again. Great hosts and lovely house!

A wonderful stay at a lovely home

We loved this location, a three bedroom home on a canal, it had all the accessories we needed. The location was excellent no more than 10 minutes from shopping, restaurants, and events. We were able to sit in the large lenai and watch dolphins, manatees, Henry the Blue Heron play. Neighbors were friendly and waved at us as they sailed by the home. We were able to explore the wildlife refuge which was stocked with an assortment of birds reptiles, bobcats. We were treated to watch five launches of spacex rockets which lite up the night sky as they roared into orbit. We would recommend a stay at this gem. Thank you Steve & Nicola

Perfect house with a perfect location!!!

Our stay was great! The location of house to the beach, pool, shops, restaurants, and our activities was perfect. We definitely appreciated the spacious, clean and comfortable accommodations and the ease of booking the rental. When at the house we spent most of our time on screened porch or on the dock, loved both of them a lot. Thank you for making our stay fantastic! Definitely would book this house again in the future.

Nice home and neighborhood

My wife and I and two small dogs enjoyed a comfortable month. the home has had some updates, especially in the rear yard with screened room, landscaping and dock with several chairs beside the canal. Rear yard is fenced on the sides, but slopes to the bulkhead of the canal and we were too anxious to permit our dogs alone there; so always walked them on leash. The neighborhood is comprised of several cul-de-sacs allowing for a nice two+ mile walk without crossing any streets. Kelly Park West is only a mile or so walk north; and has tennis courts, picnic area and walking path. Ulumay Wildlife Sanctualy

Family Vacation on Merritt Island

We had a wonderful Christmas to New Years family vacation. 4 generations in a lovely waterfront home! The home could not have been any better! Clean, comfortable, plenty of room with all the things we would need while on vacation. Convenient to our family in the Melbourne area and to Cocoa and the Cape. We even borrowed a kayak to use in the canals and saw manatee while on our paddle around the area. We could not have chosen a better place and hope to stay again next year. Thank you for sharing your Florida home with us! Anyone would be lucky to stay here!
