Great Condo

This was a great place to stay. Easy walk to the beach, quiet, comfortable. It is not for everyone, as there is no elevator, but they do put that clearly in the listing. Contact was responsive and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

The property is very close to the beach access and IOP main activities. Owner is very nice to work with and was always available for questions before and after the visit. The previous reviewer mentioned, that the view from the balcony was great! Thank you to the owner for providing such an clean and affordable place to stay! Will definitely stay there again on my next vacation to the Isle of Palms if I can.

The condo was just what we had hoped for but we were really disappointed that the pool was closed for the entire week that we were there due to maintenance. They opened it the morning that we were leaving.

Wonderful Winter Getaway

This is a cute condo in a wonderful location, 2 buildings back from the beach. We arrived after dark and the next morning saw that the ocean and the beach are visible from both bedrooms, the living room and the balcony. We loved walking on the beach, watching sunrises, and eating good food in the neighborhood restaurants. Downtown Charleston is only 30 minutes away, and we enjoyed the beautiful architecture and delicious food of this historic city. Loved it, would definitely go back!

Very affordable IOP rental

This 2 BR condo right in the middle of IOP was a great place for our late summer getaway. Enjoyed morning coffee on the porch and watched the sunrise and ocean from there. I love the check in and out process. Very easy. The owner was very receptive and has thought of everything. We would stay here again.

Great Location but needs updating. Roaches and bad A/C

The location and the beach were absolutely fantastic. The unit was a little outdated, but not a huge deal. We did have issues with the A/C. It would not get below 72 degrees during the day no matter how low it was set. We also saw several roaches in our unit. (We have pictures). To be fair, we did see an exterminator on site so someone must have called and maybe the problem is fixed now.

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and we wanted to share the following: - The A/C is working as expected, but on days when outdoor temperatures are in the 90s, it may not cool below 72°. Per A/C professionals, this is typical performance, and setting the thermostat lower can risk freezing the system. - We're sorry to hear about the roaches you encountered. Pest control was called in prior to your arrival, and treatment was completed. It can take a few days to become fully effective. The previous guests left 4- and 5-star reviews with no mention of insects, so the owner was not aware of any ongoing issue. Since your stay, there have been no further reports, so it appears the issue has been resolved. Thanks for your feedback as we continue to improve for future guests.

Everything you need, and great location!

We have stayed on IOP several times, and this condo was by far our favorite. We were a little skeptical since it was not right on the beach, but we actually had a better view than the last condo we stayed in, that was beachfront. The condo was very clean, and very well stocked. The beds, and all the furniture were very comfortable. We love the close proximity to everything, and the access to the pier. The owner was great to work with. We plan on visiting again, and would definately stay at this condo again. Thank you for such a great place, at a great price!

The location was incredible, as was the view of the ocean and proximity to the pool. The condo itself needs a serious deep cleaning and refreshing. Plates and utensils were not fully clean, thick dust was built up on closet doors, the master bed had a strong mildewy odor to it and the comforter we found in the hall closet was stained (the owner did have his cleaner bring a new comforter, but the smell persisted), bathroom sinks drained slow, and couches were well worn to name a few. We were disappointed to realize we were only given one garbage bag for our stay, four rolls of toilet paper, and one roll of paper towels. I think including a few more of these items would have not been a large expense and would have really gone a long way for guests. It really is a gem in terms of location but unfortunately did not impress us in any other category.

Great Location, Great Condo & Great Host!

After cutting our stay in this lovely condo short because of Hurricane Matthew, I'm still anxious to go back there. It was the perfect size and set-up for us four ladies on our girl trip! Just close enough to downtown Charleston to do any of the tourist things, but also a beach view from our balcony! We actually spent most of our time on IOP due to the hurricane, but the locals were great! Good places to eat and nice beach area. Our host was easy to work with while planning our stay but went above & beyond after we got there and all realized that we had to evacuate. He provided info that we needed quickly and also a refund of the nights not used. It was good to have that resource only a phone call or text away. We can't wait to go back to Charleston and this condo! Thanks again, Richard! Hope you find everything ok when you can get back in.

Very basic, but what we needed

This property was great for our family. It was spacious enough, had most everything we needed for the week, and was in a great location. I do feel like the unit needs some serious TLC. More so with small things, but fixing just a few things would make a HUGE difference in the quality of the unit! Just a few items I noticed... #1 The dishwasher is terrible. It does not clean the dishes at all. We had to hand was the dishes we pulled out to use bc they were all dirty. #2 Overall, the unit needs a serious deep clean. On the surface it was clean, but we had to vacuum when we arrived and there was just a lot of grime in the floor corners and under the sofa (which we pulled out for a bed). #3 The screen door track needs to be fixed. It comes off track everytime it is opened. #4 Some updating of fixtures would be great too, though not necessary :) We would stay here again. It was a pleasant and quiet stay.

The owner let us know that he did not hear any of these issues from you during your stay but would have been more than happy to help make your stay as comfortable as possible. There are instructions on the dishwasher to not push the heat dry button and it will work perfectly fine. A deep clean is done at the beginning of the rental season and during your stay you were at the tail end of the rental season but the owner is addressing the specific cleanliness issues you mentioned in your review. The owner also mentioned he will take a closer look at the screen door in regards to keeping it on the track. Again we are happy you enjoyed your stay and the property. Perfect location

This condo was in the perfect location. My friend and I were visiting for a friends wedding and made a vacation out of it. We were a 2 minute walk to the beach, restaurants, and good coffee! The condo, although a bit dated, was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay (including beach chairs!) I would definitely recommend this place to stay!
