This breathtaking 7000+ sq. ft. estate features 6 bedroom suites and 6 1/2 baths located directly on the ocean. Villa Cascada offers the best of indoor, outdoor living with a gourmet eat-in kitchen, large dining room, living room, powder room, and a 2 tiered pool overlooking the ocean. The spectacular oceanfront master suite balcony is the perfect private retreat where you can enjoy a cocktail while watching the sun go down as people and boats drift by. You can also enjoy the same beautiful sunset while relaxing by the pool or dining outside under the gazebo. A maid and grounds keeper Monday through Saturday keep Villa Cascada in pristine shape. The poolside patio and BBQ area is the ideal location for a family gathering, a beachfront wedding or simply a quite place to relax and listen to the ocean waves as they break on the beach front of you. A few yards outside the private gate, Tamarindo beach offers some of the best swimming or surfing in the world. Take a 5 minute stroll down the beach into town for access to great restaurants, bars, shopping, art galleries and sightseeing. Plentiful wildlife abounds with exotic birds, large iguanas, and families of howler monkeys living in the tropical trees.

Our house manager at Villa Cascada will greet you upon arrival and help you arrange surfing lessons, sport fishing, sunset cruises, zip-line tours, horseback riding, golf outings, ATV excursion, trips to volcanos, a massage therapist... just about anything you could want, including a private chef to cook for you. Location, proximity to the beach and town was fabulous. We greatly enjoyed Inez's breakfasts and Marlow. They treated us like family. Maria's assistance with scheduling transportation and excursions was super helpful. Our multi generational family greatly enjoyed the house and town. The areas for improvement could be : up grading the septic so flushing toilet paper would be possible; updating the information in the house notebook for accurate phone numbers in a crisis and making sure all of the I said amenities work well (showers and safes).

We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay and the location of Villa Cascada! I’m glad that our house manager Maria was to be in constant communication with your group. And that our house staff helped make your stay extra enjoyable! Sorry for the confusion, it is possible to flush toilet paper. However because of our proximity to the beach, and Tamarindo’s environmental sensitivity, we have a smaller septic and ask guests to flush as little paper as possible to avoid septic issues. We are in the process of updating our book but all emergency numbers are accurate. While one of our showers is a little finicky, the safes and showers are all in working order. however in the future, if a need of any kind should arise our house manager Maria is always able to assist!

The house is in a great location and has lots of space. The staff are great and incredibly friendly. Our kids loved the pool! There are a few things that need attention like the AC unit in the casita and the kitchen sink being held up with 2x4's. One note for families. The house has 4 distinct sections which can be tricky with little ones. - The main house has two rooms (the primary with a deck and a room with two twins that can become a king). - They apartment with a king and attached area with trundle bed (there are no blinds on door that looks into the apartment where the trundle bed is). - Two bedrooms that are on the main floor of the main house (one king bed and twins that can become a king) but can only be accessed from the outside and does not have direct access to the inside of the main house. You have to go through the main door to get inside of the main house.- The casita which is just across the yard from the main house.

Hi, Thanks so much for your review! A few things to note: Each room has its own individual AC unit and the one in the Casita is brand new! Our bathrooms are not air conditioned and in order for the AC to cool the bedrooms the doors must be closed. I’m sorry about the 2x4’s under the kitchen sink, we were waiting for a window when the house was unoccupied to have our plumber re-seal it and wanted to ensure its stability. We are glad that Villa Cascada worked for your group and that you enjoyed your stay!

The house was magnificent. Right on the ocean as promised. Lots of help if we needed it and asked for it. Rooms were large and fitted our3 families beautifuly. Close to grocery stores and shopping and rental surfbords. We all loved it. I would stay here again in a heartbeat

Great vacation rental

The house worked out perfectly for all of us. There were 14 of us and everybody had their space. The common space and kitchen were wonderful also, as well as the outside kitchen and pool area.

Perfect location and a beautiful house.

Celebrating daughter 40th

Lovely property! We celebrated our daughter’s 40th. The accommodation worked well for locations and bedrooms/bathrooms for our size of family. The rooms were beautifully decorated. The housemaid prepared a wonderful breakfast which worked well for a large group. Fantastic location for beach access. The only disappointment was the hot tub wasn’t HOT-and we had some local construction going on at early hrs which isn’t vacation friendly!! I strongly feel this notification should have been made up front. Otherwise, the children loved the beach and pool.

Our Welcome Packet does inform guests that the upper pool is not heated. As far as the construction, this was a surprise to us as well! Our neighbors did not inform us of their project and have since been asked to maintain respectable noise levels while working. We are so glad to hear that our property was such a great fit for your family!

NYE in Tamarindo!

Our family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We all had separate rooms with full bathrooms and separate entrances. Amazing communication with the owner and property manager. Shuttles and activities were arranged quite easily, which was so helpful. The location is amazing with everything just short walk away. We loved it!!

This very private Villa is one of the few oceanfront properties located on spectacular Tamarindo beach. You can't get closer to the water without actually being in the water. It's just a short walk down the beach into town but far enough away to remain private and serene. It's the best of both worlds.
