Perfect peaceful family getaway or reunion location. Sit and enjoy the gardens while listening to the waves crash on nearby Carmel Beaches. You have a choice ... We are 6 mins walk from the main Carmel Beach and 9 mins from the Carmel River State Beach. Our home is a 1750 sqft 3bed / 2bath beach-home with high ceilings and wall to wall LIGHT! It's tastefully appointed to help you immerse yourself in a California beach experience.

There's lots of living, cooking and 'kids play' space inside and outside the home. There's comfortable dining and sitting space for 8 in the living room, the dining room and on the back patio. We have 4 flat screen TVs, with Netflix and Amazon Prime. There is a 3D TV with 9 viewing glasses, a 3D DVD player, video library and some 3D movies! Broadband Wifi reaches all areas of the house. There is a professional 6-speaker discrete in-ceiling system.

We have a small library and the gas fireplace is remote controlled. Relaxing after a long day is easy when every bed is a memory foam mattress. Waking up, enjoy the roses, citrus trees and succulent gardens with your coffee. In short, the typical Carmel paradise. Don't be surprised to be sharing it with hummingbirds, squirrels and blue jays. The young kids will love the double bunk bed room and a secret bonus room filled with goodies!

The Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant (owned by Clint Eastwood) is a fantastic restaurant to have 200 yards from the front door. It has a Piano Bar as well as outdoor seating to watch the sunsets and the sheep! The Sunday Brunch is highly recommended ! Less than a mile (0.9miles/20mins walk) away is the shopping and restaurants of 'Carmel by the Sea' on Ocean Avenue. For an extra 5 mins you can walk back via Scenic Drive overlooking the Carmel beach. Nearby is Point Lobos State Reserve. We recommend a 5min drive and park on the road by the entrance and then walk in. It's beaches are so beautiful several movie beach scenes have been filmed there. The famous Carmel Mission, and Mission Trail Park are also about half a mile walk. Beautiful beaches and coastal paths extend for 3 miles past Carmel River State Beach towards Point Lobos and are walkable from the house if the river does not cut through the beach

This property makes a wonderful stay. Plenty of room, basic amenities, great location, comfortable beds, close access to the ocean, and quick response by property manager to small detail when the coffee pot died. House is very spacious and sunny, nice backyard with table/chairs for relaxing, and quiet neighborhood. Would stay again.

The location, charm, and setup of this lovely home was perfect for our family. We loved sitting outside on the terrace and walking on the beach, just steps away. We also visited the children’s farmers market on Friday at the school down the block. Check out the amazing Scenic View road. Thank you!

A simple place to stay for a trip. We were pleased with everything and did not find any problems I can think of. At the time of our stay Air conditioning was not needed as it was cool at night. We were pleased with all of the hummingbirds in the backyard due to the flowers as well.

It was a great stay. The check in was smooth, the house manager, Rick was very responsive. The house was well equipped and clean. The bonus room was a great surprised to kids. It's a five minutes walk to the beach and close enough to downtown where a 15 minute walk takes you to a nice coffee shop or restaurants.

House was perfect for combined family including young children. The secret playroom was a real bonus. The size and layout very comfortable and perfectly situated for a combination of activities. Very convenient to walk to beach and well equipped with beach supplies!

Nice quiet neighborhood surrounded by other fairytale type properties. Very peaceful walks to and from the local sites. Only a 5 minute drive to Point Lobos which cannot be missed. The garage has been converted to a spectacular playroom for little ones. Only thing missing in the house was extra blankets.

We live in the Bay Area and have fallen, completely and utterly in love with Carmel. We love to visit our home there as often as possible. Come and see why !!

Why they chose this property

In a word, location ! Our home is so close to the 2 beautiful carmel beaches. Imagine having to decide which one to walk to !!

For dinner the choice is even more difficult. A gentle 200 yards to the ex-mayor's Mission Ranch Hotel & Restaurant, or a short trip to Ocean Avenue for Carmel's very best restaurants. Our favorites there are Bicylette or Dametra, but Mission Ranch is so relaxing with its Piano Bar and there is freely available casual outside seating watching the sunset and the sheep !

What makes this property unique

Our home can sleep 8 comfortably. It's 1750 sq ft. You can make dining arrangements for 8 indoors or outdoors, in the back yard ! The living room also seats 8 for movie watching. All bedrooms have slumber-guarantee memory foam mattresses!

We have 4 flat screen TV's throughout the home with Netflix, Prime and 3D DVD movies.
