My family and I spent a week at the this home and it was an amazing experience. The layout was open and seems much larger than expected. It's walking distance to circuit Avenue and walking distance to a really nice park the kids could play at. The house was furnished with everything you needed, and any concerns we had were addressed quickly and completely.
We had a great stay. The house had all the amenities we needed and the location was perfect for us. Thank you David for the hospitality. I appreciated the check-ins to ensure we were having a good stay. We would stay here again.

after reaching out to my client , I learned that my caretaker neglected to put umbrella in the umbrella stand and also did not wipe off patio chair cushions. He is a very reliable person that made an error....All renters have my phone number and I encourage them to call or text with any questions or issues... I wish this client had done so as this would have been taken care of promptly.
Great house that is updated with a fantastic backyard! Walking distance to Nancy’s and Circuit Avenue! Parking was difficult to find so park at the house and walk.

We were a group of 6 on a golf weekend. The property was as advertised and the owner Dave was great and very accommodating. Everything fit our needs perfectly.
Adorable house, well stocked and very clean. The house location is a stones throw from downtown Oak Bluff, easily accessible to beach and restaurants. Beautiful tranquil backyard and homeowner readily available to respond to any questions. Great choice!
Charming home in a great location close to town. Home appeared to not have been used for a bit and cleaned before arrival as the surfaces were pretty dusty. Otherwise, everything was great

There was recent construction and I did have cleaners do a deep clean following the construction. There must have been residual dust and my apologies to john .
Perfectly located, it's close to everything; the ferry, the shops, the bars, the restaurants. We spent our time exploring the Island on foot. The house exceeded our expectations! The host, David was so great! He answered promptly to my texts when i had questions. I definitely recommend it!
We were 3 couples in town for a wedding and this place was perfect for us. We had plenty of space and it was very clean, well stocked for cooking and has a lovely, cosy island feel to it. We didn’t get to explore much but we did have a little walk around the great neighbourhood and it was only a short walk to the beach. We would definitely come back for a longer time next time
The house was immaculate and updated. Plenty of beach chairs and towels. Outdoor table deck were perfect. A nice walk to town threw the Gingerbread houses. Convient general store,Tony's, around the corner.
We have been coming to the island every year since I was a kid and have been staying in OB at the same house for over 10. This was the first year in a long time we stayed somewhere new and this was a great find! Quiet location with easy, walkable access to downtown, inkwell beach, and niantic park for the little ones. Everything was clean, kitchen and linens fully stocked. Bikes and beach toys available as well! Separate cottage was great for my parents who could get some rest since my little ones were up very very early! Property manager was very communicative, reaching out upon check in to make sure everything was okay. We needed to replace a light bulb and asked for a drying rack which was supplied the next day. He was also very communicative upon check out and understanding! Overall, a great experience and definitely would recommend for families with young children.
Delightful house; great location. Unfortunately, our visit was marred by 3 mouse sightings over 2 days. Owner was responsive and personally came out to place multiple mouse traps in the home. Initially, my wife was quite uncomfortable staying there and annoyed we had to deal with mice on our luxurious vacation. When she expressed this to the owner, he called her "condescending." That was poor customer service on his part. It seemed he didn't understand the magnitude of the situation and felt she was overreacting. Owner attempted to find us another place to stay, but the houses were smaller, not nearly as nice and most were up-island.
Given that 2 days of our stay were marred by the observance of mice and we felt an overall discomfort throughout the week knowing we were staying in a home that had a mouse infestation, and we had to be repeatedly interrupted by visits throughout the week from the caretaker and owner, we requested a refund for 2 nights; however, the owner refused, ultimately agreeing to refund just 1 night.

Only one mouse was seen and one mouse was caught less than 24 hours after I was alerted about the mouse. Even though I was spoken to in such combative manner and while in the house I got yelled at and a door was slammed upstairs so hard, I felt the vibrations downstairs, I still remained respectful to my clients. I offered to buy dinner for Mark and his wife due to the inconvenience and he replied that would be very kind and fair. He accepted my offer and i gave him cash to dine at a place of his choosing. The next day his wife wanted $2,000 back which I thought was a little excessive.

My Annual Retreat
I’ve been enjoying David’s home on the island for years -– it is my go-to second home. Very comfortable sleeping arrangements; the master bedroom has a porch, perfect for a quiet early morning coffee. The house is an ideal size for me and friends, has a well-equipped kitchen for our favorite home-cooked meals, and a ready-to-fire-up gas grill on the back deck, which has a large patio umbrella table, great for a family cookout. The yard is large enough to kick around a soccer ball; or the kids (and dogs) can get their energies out in the park right next to the house. Also, the outdoor shower is roomy and private. The house is situated in a quiet residential neighborhood, yet close enough to all the attractions in downtown Oak Bluffs, such as the Gingerbread Cottages, The Game Room and Flying Horses Carousel. A simple 5-7 minute walk, don’t bother driving to town! Inkwell and State beaches are a 5 minute drive. If you don’t feel like cooking, walk to Circuit Ave for an amazing variety of restaurant options. Smok N Bones BBQ ribs is a block away, as well as Tony’s Market for sundries, sandwiches and wine. David is an extremely gracious, attentive and conscientious host. Always a phone call or text away. 14 Shawmut Ave is my home away from home. I book my favorite 3 weeks a year in advance!

Thank you Sue.. really appreciate the kind compliments ..
We enjoyed this home very much. The host was helpful and responsive. It's next to a small trail that eventually leads to the ocean. It's great if you're a runner.
Dave, the property owner was extremely accommodating. He went out of his way to procure bikes for us to use. The property was exactly as listed. Cute, clean, central to Oaks Bluff and Vinehaven. We had a stellar experience!
From booking to the moment we left, we had a perfect stay. The listing was accurate and the owner was wonderful to communicate with. The house was spotless, and just right for our needs. The location was accessible to all that Oak Bluffs has to offer- all within easy walking distance. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you for a marvelous stay!
