Enjoy a perfect getaway at Up Home, nestled on the eastern point of Spanish Wells. Here, you’ll experience breathtaking sunrises, ocean wildlife, an ocean view, and, overall, the simple joy of island life. Enjoy all that Spanish Wells and the home has to offer! This haven is designed for those who appreciate local island living!
The home offers:
⭐A spacious living room for family and friends to enjoy the ocean view outside or watch movies, play games, or simply spend time together.
⭐A fully stocked kitchen for all your cooking/baking needs.
⭐ Two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the main floor, including a master bedroom with a sea view and a private en-suite bathroom.
* TVs are included in bedrooms.
⭐ A spiral staircase that leads to the second-floor loft featuring three beds, desks, a cozy den area, and a balcony overlooking the sea. Please note there are no bathrooms on the second floor.
⭐ A wrap-around porch with ocean views, a grill that is perfect for grilling and relaxing.
Guests have access to the entire home. There are two closets that are locked for owners.
The golf cart behind the house is not for rent. Island Time Golf Cart Rentals or Harbourside Rentals are the best options for renting a cart while on the island.
One host lives in the States and the other lives in the Bahamas. You can always call on Whats App, but if you want a more immediate response, message through the Airbnb app. We are happy to answer any questions.
⭐We are next to a restaurant, which makes it convenient to get yummy coastal food. On Friday and Saturday nights, it can carry noise to the house. So we have provided sound machines if that happens.
⭐Be prepared for a slower pace in the Bahamas, which means wait times for services may be longer than you’re accustomed to. Additionally, shops might sometimes have limited supplies because most goods arrive by boat. This also means that prices on goods can be higher than you`re used to.
⭐We get you started with a 4-day supply of essentials, such as toilet paper, paper towels, etc. Guests staying longer than this will be responsible for purchasing additional supplies.
⭐An electric bill in the Bahamas for two weeks can be up to $700. This is why we ask that guests be mindful of how much electricity they use to avoid an additional fee. The best practice is to turn off everything when you leave for the day and to keep windows and doors closed as much as possible unless you are turning off the AC and enjoying the coastal breeze.
⭐Occasionally, when work is being done on the island, the water can be shut off for a few hours during the day. And, they shut off the water from 12 AM, at night, to 5 AM.
⭐Keep in mind that the grocery store, Food Fair, is open from 8am-5pm, Monday through Saturday. If you arrive on a Sunday or later than 5pm due to plane delays, Island Mart, a small convenience store, is open from 8am-8pm, 7 days a week.
⭐ Restaurant hours vary depending on the restaurant. Be sure to check the house manual for details.
⭐No pets allowed. Pet fee will occur if one is found.
