Had a weekend getaway to STL. This place was perfect for everyone. The only con would be tgat it lacked home vibes. There wasnt any decir and was bare bones. But that isnt a big deal at all. I would absolutely book this place again next time qe go!
The property owner harassed me and my party during my stay. I was caled multiple times about cars that were on the street , some of which didn't belong to anyone in my party Upon arrival it was a pile of bird poop that greeted you at the door and the hot tub that was advertised was filthy and didn't have any water in it. My party wasn't too loud nor did we violate any laws with parking on the street. The owner basically threaten to kick us out for the night if we didn't send an extra payment , which was done through a 3rd party app and not Vrbo. I am very displeased with my stay.

This listing is not as described. The hot tub is dirty and not hooked up. It is clear the owner is remodeling this very beat up property. Many upgrades were nice, such as the deck. The lake was gorgeous. However, the hot tub highlighted in the property title was dirty and not hooked up. I asked the owner to clean and fill it, which he said he would do, but then did not. When I asked for a small partial refund (because the hot tub was one of our primary reasons for selecting the house), I was just ignored. This dishonesty and lack of trustworthiness is the most troubling. The property needs a deep clean. The glass doors and walls were dirty, although the counters were clean. The thermostat was difficult to control and it was over 80 degrees one day, although to be fair, there was a heat wave while we were there. When we arrived at 9 pm, the entrance was blocked by a large box with a new dishwasher in it and there was detritus in front of the garage. The owner eventually moved it all after we contacted him. The front of the house was only half painted and there was a pile of bird poop that clearly had been piling up for months right by the front door. I tried to be nice about everything, but feel misled and taken advantage of. Would not stay again.

Overall experience - okay
Overall, I would say our stay was okay. Pros: Home was very clean. There was plenty of space for our party. Beds and couches were comfortable. Quiet neighborhood. Deck overlooking the water was very nice. Keypad entry was convenient. Cons: Very little supplies for cooking. There was nothing that could be put into the oven, so oven was unusable. Guests cannot adjust thermostat so the house stayed at a warm 76 degrees. Biggest issue we had was the use of the hot tub. When we arrived there was no water in the hot tub. I reached out to host to ask if we could use it. She replied by giving me directions on what to do (plug it, fill it up, turn it on). We did all of that, but it was not warming up. When I messaged her to let her know she got extremely upset with me. Told me I should not be operating it without her supervision, I must have broken it, and I needed to immediately turn it off. She continuously messaged me asking questions and asking why I did not contact her for further directions. After a while, she calmed down, came over to turn it on and I will say she did apologize. However, I was very upset and confused by her initial reaction. My thoughts are if you are going to advertise your house as a 'hot tub' house it should be up and going for your guests upon arrival.
